''Leaving the End Open'' is the third studio album by the American rock group Hardline. This is their first album since 2002's '' II''. The new line up for the album features two new band members, Jamie Brown on bass guitar and Atma Anur on drums. The album was released on April 17, 2009 in the UK and it was released in the USA on May 2, 2009. Japanese guitarist and video game musician Jun Senoue from Gioeli's other band, Crush 40, is listed as a special guest on the song "Before This," where he is credited for the guitar solo. Background The album was called "Just Add Water" when it was in the works for seven years, beginning in 2004, but Johnny Gioeli gave the title tentatively while planning a different title. Hardline is an American hard rock band. Originally formed in 1991 by brothers Johnny Gioeli and Joey Gioeli, the band consisted of five members, Johnny Gioeli, Joey Gioeli, Neal Schon, Todd Jensen and Deen Castronovo. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Live At The Gods Festival 2002
Live at the Gods is a live album by Hardline which was released on DVD and CD in 2003. It was recorded at the Gods Festival in Bradford, England on 2 June 2002, where Hardline was the headliner for this festival. The concert was an all day festival which featured eight other bands, such as Jeff Scott Soto, who marked his first live performance as a solo artist, and Harem Scarem. Hardline was the last band to play at 2 a.m. and during the first couple of songs on the show, the band was suffering from technical and sound problems on stage. The microphones and equipment were worn out after being on all day. This also affected the back up singer's microphones the most, causing them to not hear their own voices over the loud music. Danger Zone (Hardline Album)
''Danger Zone'' is American hard rock band Hardline's fourth studio album, and their first since ''Leaving the End Open''. Johnny Gioeli is the sole returning member from the ''Leaving the End Open'' lineup, and is joined by keyboardist and producer Alessandro Del Vecchio, guitarist Thorsten Koehne, bassist Anna Portalupi, and drummer Francesco Jovino. ''Danger Zone'' was released in Europe on May 18, 2012, and in America on May 22, both through Frontiers Records. Unlike previous Hardline albums, Johnny Gioeli did not initiate the project, nor was he the primary songwriter. The project came to fruition when Alessandro Del Vecchio, a longtime fan of Hardline, of Eden's Curse and Edge of Forever wrote and composed songs with Gioeli's vocals specifically in mind, then proceeded to record demos to send to Frontiers Records president Serafino Perugino. ''II'' is the second album by American hard rock band, Hardline. It was released in 2002, ten years after the band's debut album ''Double Eclipse.'' It is also the last album to feature Joey Gioeli. The album was originally going to be named ''Hyperspace'', but vocalist Johnny Gioeli decided to change the name simply to ''II'' because "it's a natural prosecution of what we started with our debut album '' Double Eclipse''." The tracks "Face the Night," "Do or Die," "Your Eyes," and "This Gift" were originally recorded for Double Eclipse, as Johnny Gioeli revealed in a 2002 interview, "So people are getting a real Hardline record." Jun Senoue
is a Japanese composer and guitarist who works for Sega, known for his various contributions in the ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' video game series. He is also the songwriter for the band Crush 40, which has also contributed to many ''Sonic'' games. Biography Senoue was born on August 2, 1970, in Matsushima, Miyagi, Japan, and started playing the piano at the age of three. After moving to Panama at the age of 12, he became dedicated to rock music after being exposed to MTV. He began to teach himself to play the electric guitar at the age of 15, and made his first original band recording by the age of 17. Crush 40 is a Japanese-American hard rock band. The group consists of guitarist and composer Jun Senoue and vocalist Johnny Gioeli, although Senoue has featured other lead vocalists on a Crush 40 album. Crush 40 is best known for their contributions to the ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' video game series. Senoue is employed by Sega as a composer and sound director, and has worked with Sega as a composer since 1993. Ronald James Padavona (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010), known professionally as Ronnie James Dio, was an American heavy metal singer.
