Leandro Nicolás Lozano Fernández (born 19 December 1998) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a right-back or left-back for Nacional. Career A youth academy graduate of Nacional, Lozano captained his club to victory at 2018 U-20 Copa Libertadores. A free agent after leaving Nacional in 2018, Lozano joined Boston River prior to 2019 Uruguayan Primera División season. He made his professional debut on 10 August 2019 in a 0–0 draw against his former club Nacional. The Under-20 CONMEBOL Libertadores ( Portuguese and Spanish: CONMEBOL Libertadores Sub-20) is the international association football club competition for teams that play in CONMEBOL leagues. It was created by Manuel Burga Seoane and the Peruvian Football Federation. The competition started in the 2011 season in response to the increased interest in youth football. History The tournament had only two editions from 2011 to 2012. The first edition of this U-20 club competition was played in Lima, Peru. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008.
