Leander Kills
Leander Kills is a Hungarian metal band, created by guitarist and singer Leander Köteles of Leander Rising fame. Other members include Miklós Czifra (Balkan Fanatik, Amigod) and András Vermes playing guitars, and Valentin Jankai (Blind Myself) playing the drums. On November 2, 2015, their first song, ''Szerelmetlen dal'', was released. Not long after, ''Te leszel a párom'' and ''Valami folyjon'' were released. On 18 March 2016, their first album, ''Túlélő'', was released. In 2017, it became clear that Máté Bodor, due to his obligations under Alestorm, could not go on tour with Leander Kills. András Vermes joined the band later on. Köteles has said that the band would later regard Máté Bodor as an honorary member, expecting him on future recordings, and, if his time allows, during concerts. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Leander Rising
Leander Rising (formerly known as just Leander) was a Hungarian metal band. History The band started in 2009 after the disbanding of another Hungarian metal band named ''Babylon'', which the lead singer Leander Köteles was a part of. During this time, this bands only member was Leander himself. But in 2010, Attila Vörös joined the band after watching Leander perform his own song ''Csak te'' ("Only You"). In the same year, they obtained two new members: József "Jozzy" Takács and Bela Budai. After a sold-out concert in Budapest in 2010, Leander (their erstwhile name) became a household name within the Hungarian metal scene. Also in 2011, after a successful summer festival tour in Hungary, Sony Music Hungary took notice of the band and signed them for a contract. Blind Myself
Blind Myself is a Hungarian metalcore band formed in 1995. History The band was formed by Gabor Molnar and Istvan Torok with an original line up of: Istvan Torok (drums), Gabor Molnar (guitars), and Laszlo Sleisz (bass). In 1996, they recorded their first demo, called ''Blind Yourself'', and had their first nationwide tour. In 1997, they recorded their second demo, ''Horrified by the Sun'', and had their first Sziget Festival appearance on Banan (talent) Stage. In 1998, their first EP, called ''Horrified by the Sun'', was recorded and released by the band itself, distributed by Crossroads Records Hungary (Metal Hammer H 10/10) and their first video for ''Horrified by the Sun'' appeared on TV. Alestorm
Alestorm are a Scottish heavy metal band formed in Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterised by a pirate theme, and as a result, they have been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase. The group currently consists of lead vocalist/keytarist Christopher Bowes, bassist Gareth Murdock, drummer Peter Alcorn, keyboardist/harsh vocalist Elliot Vernon and guitarist Máté "Bobo" Bodor. ''A Dal'' (English: The Song) is an annual music competition in Hungary organised by the national broadcaster Duna and was the national selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest between 2012 and 2019. The contest was introduced in 2012. The contest was introduced by the MTVA, the organisers of the contest, with a different philosophy than the contest used previously. A Dal was introduced to produce a Hungarian contest, with Hungarian musical tastes being presented to a European audience. The contest is also an open one, with all information of the songs being revealed in the selection process. Hungary has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times since making its debut in . Hungary attempted to participate in but failed to qualify from ''Kvalifikacija za Millstreet'', a special qualifying competition set up for seven former Eastern Bloc countries.
