Leander Haußmann
Leander Haußmann (sometimes Haussmann) (; born 26 June 1959, Quedlinburg) is a German theatre and film director. The son of actor Ezard Haußmann and costume designer Doris Haußmann, he attended the Ernst Busch theatre school in Berlin. Haußmann was the theatre director of the city theatre in Bochum (Schauspielhaus Bochum). He also wrote and acted in several plays (1995–2000), and had a role in the Detlev Buck film '' Jailbirds'' (1996). His feature film breakthrough came with ''Sonnenallee'' in 1999. His second feature, ''Herr Lehmann'', followed in 2003. His production of ''Die Fledermaus'' in Munich was controversial, compounding the trouble surrounding his production of ''Peter Pan''. As a result, his scheduled production of ''Romeo and Juliet'' was cancelled. ''Hotel Lux'' is a 2011 German period film directed by Leander Haußmann. The tragicomedy begins in Nazi Germany and moves to the Soviet Union. Featuring the main character Hans Zeisig, an apolitical comedian, the picture involves him with numerous historical facts and figures of this era. Uwe Adam Ochsenknecht (; born 7 January 1956) is a German actor and singer. Career Films Ochsenknecht has starred in include ''Das Boot'' (1981), ''Schtonk!'' Jessica Schwarz (born 5 May 1977) is a German film and TV actress. Life and career Schwarz was born in Erbach im Odenwald and grew up in the small town of Michelstadt, Germany. Benjamin "Benno" Fürmann (; born 17 January 1972) is a German film and television actor. He is known for his lead role in the 2008 film ''The North Face'', where he plays Toni Kurz based on the 1936 Eiger climbing disaster in Switzerland. Life and work Fürmann was born in Berlin-Kreuzberg. By the age of 15 he had lost both his parents. At 17, he had a serious accident while train surfing, and had to spend six weeks in the hospital as a result.
