Le Comiche
''Le comiche'' is a 1990 Italian comedy film written and directed by Neri Parenti and starring Renato Pozzetto and Paolo Villaggio. It had two sequels, ''Le comiche 2'' (1991) and ''Le nuove comiche'' (1994). Plot Neri Parenti creates some comic episodes, inserting various gags taken from films of the past: Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. In the silent black and white prologue two railroad workers, Paolo and Renato, are trying to outrun a steam train and jump out of the screen into a movie theatre; in the first episode they are bungling painters who ruin a wedding; in the second the two friends destroy a gas station; in the third episode they are forced to work in the mountain chalet, ruining the holiday for all customers; in the last the two friends are the perfect double of two fierce mafia, who plan to use the "twins" for a suicide mission; in the epilogue Paolo and Renato are chased by characters of all the episodes back into the silent film. Neri Parenti
Neri Parenti (born 26 April 1950, in Florence) is an Italian film director and writer. He is known for comedy films, including the series starring Paolo Villaggio playing the character Ugo Fantozzi, and a later series of '' cinepanettoni'' - zany comedy films scheduled for release during the Christmas period. Biography After graduating in political science, he dedicated his career to filmmaking. He became a pupil and assistant of Pasquale Festa Campanile from 1972 to 1979, and also worked for Salvatore Samperi, Steno and Giorgio Capitani. In 1979 he directed his first film, '' The Face with Two Left Feet'', an ironic and comical parody of '' Saturday Night Fever'' with John Travolta, which had been a hit two years earlier. A year later he met the film actor and director Paolo Villaggio, who was then filming ''Fantozzi contro tutti''. Gian Fabio Bosco
Riccardo Miniggio (Turin, 31 December 1935) and Gian Fabio Bosco (Florence, 30 July 1936 - Lavagna, 14 February 2010) were an Italian comedy duo who worked on stage, films and television as Ric e Gian. Life and career Miniggio started his career as a dancer-actor in the stage company of Erminio Macario, while Bosco was born in a family of actors and debuted on stage at young age, in the theatrical company of Gilberto Govi.
