''Le Courrier du Vietnam'' () is the only French-language newspaper published in Vietnam. It was first established in 1964 in Hanoi and has since been the most circulated French language news medium in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. French was the official language of Vietnam under French colonial rule during the 19th and early 20th centuries. After 1954, French fell into disuse in North Vietnam, and maintained a high status in South Vietnam. VTV1 is a state-owned Vietnamese-language news channel and also the first television channel of Vietnam Television Station, and the third channel of VTV to broadcast HD, broadcast continuously with a duration of 24 hours a day from June 15, 2011 to present, with nearly 20 news bulletins and dozens of weekly columns, referring to current political issues of the country.
