''Le Bonheur'' is the eighth album by experimental French singer Brigitte Fontaine and the sixth by Areski Belkacem, released in 1975 on the Saravah label. It is their fourth collaborative album. The album features some abstracts from plays and noises (like animal cries). The booklet claims that the album was recorded "during Winter 1975 in a theater, a kitchen, a barn and a studio." Brigitte Fontaine, (born 24 June 1939) is a singer of avant-garde music. She has employed numerous unusual musical styles, melding rock and roll, folk, jazz, electronica, spoken word poetry, and world. She has collaborated with Stereolab, Michel Colombier, Jean-Claude Vannier, Areski Belkacem, Gotan Project, Sonic Youth, Antoine Duhamel, Grace Jones, Noir Désir, Archie Shepp, Arno, and The Art Ensemble of Chicago. She is also a novelist, playwright, poet, and actress. Early life The daughter of two teachers, Brigitte Fontaine developed her taste for writing and drama very early. She spent her childhood in small villages of Finistère, then in Morlaix. At 17 years old, she moved to Paris to become an actress. Areski Belkacem (born 23 January 1940), also known simply as Areski, is a French singer, multi-instrumentalist, comedian and composer. ''15 chansons d'avant le déluge, suite et fin'' is a compilation by experimental French singer Brigitte Fontaine and French rock singer Jacques Higelin, released in 1976 on the Productions Jacques Canetti label. It is an album of Boris Vian Boris Vian (; 10 March 1920 – 23 June 1959) was a French polymath: writer, poet, musician, singer, translator, critic, actor, inventor and engineer who is primarily remembered for his novels. Those published under the pseudonym Vernon Sulliva ...-penned songs recorded by Higelin and released on an EP in January 1966 and on an LP shared with Marie-José Casanova, also released in 1966. The nine Brigitte Fontaine songs come from her first album, '' 13 chansons décadentes et fantasmagoriques''. Contrary to the first release co-billed to both artists, 1966's '' 12 chansons d'avant le déluge'', none of the songs are duets. ''Vous et Nous'' is the ninth album by experimental pop French musician Brigitte Fontaine and the seventh by Areski Belkacem, released in 1977 on the Saravah label. ''Vous et Nous'' is an avant-garde double album mixing a variety of instruments and vocal styles. The album uses synthesizer and drum machine on some songs. Other, more acoustic, songs show the Algerian/African influence that Fontaine and Areski were known for. Pierre Barouh (born Élie Pierre Barouh; 19 February 1934 – 28 December 2016) was a French writer-composer-singer best known for his work on Claude Lelouch's film ''A Man and a Woman'' as an actor and the lyricist/singer for Francis Lai's music score. Early life and music Barouh was born in Paris and along with his brother, Albert, and sister, was raised in Levallois-Perret. Their parents were Turkish-Jewish stallholders selling fabrics. During the Second World War, their parents hid them from the Nazis; Pierre and his sister in Montournais and Albert in la Limouzinière. During these years Élie, baptised Pierre, lived at La Grèlerie, the home of Hilaire and Marie Rocher, who had two sons.
