Aaron Mader (born July 21, 1982), better known by his stage name Lazerbeak, is an American record producer, singer, and guitarist from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has been a member of Doomtree, The Plastic Constellations, Mixed Blood Majority, Shredders, and Night Stone. Early life Lazerbeak was born Aaron Mader on July 21, 1982. He graduated from Hopkins High School. Career Lazerbeak released a collaborative album with Mike Mictlan, titled '' Hand Over Fist'', in 2008. His first solo album, '' Legend Recognize Legend'', was released in 2010. He produced Sims' second solo album, '' Bad Time Zoo'', as well as his ''Wildlife'' EP, both of which were released in 2011. In 2012, he released a solo album, ''Lava Bangers''. Another solo album, ''Luther'', was released in 2019. Michael Marquez (born July 8, 1982), better known by his stage name Mike Mictlan (), is a rapper from Los Angeles, California, who is currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a founding member of the indie hip hop collective Doomtree and the hip hop duo The Mercenaries. Mike Mictlan has released four solo albums and is currently signed to Doomtree Records. ''City Pages'' listed him as the 10th best Minnesota rapper in 2012. Early life Marquez was born in Los Angeles, California to a Vietnam veteran father from Venice, Italy and an American mother, who is from Anaheim. Mike is of Mexican descent. Sims (rapper)
Andrew Sims (born October 19, 1982), better known mononymously as Sims, is an American rapper from Minneapolis. He has been a member of Doomtree and Shredders. Early life Sims was born Andrew Sims on October 19, 1982 in Minnesota. He grew up in Hopkins, a suburb of Minneapolis. His parents were former musicians. He first began creating music at an early age when his father bought him a Casio SK-1 keyboard. At a young age, he began writing lyrics, not necessarily rap. By the time he was 14, Sims was freestyle rapping and was also in various non hip hop bands as well. He attended Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where he met P.O.S and Cecil Otter, (and later other Doomtree members) who would sell beats to Sims. Margret Wander (born May 23, 1981), better known by her stage name Dessa, is an American rapper, singer, writer, and former record executive. She is a member of the indie hip hop collective Doomtree. Early life Dessa was born to Robert Wander Jr. and Sylvia Burgos Toftness, and has a younger brother, Max. Her father is white and her mother Puerto Rican. Dessa went to Southwest High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating from the IB Diploma Programme in 1999. She attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned a B.A. in philosophy.
