Lawrenceburg High School
Lawrenceburg High School is a high school located in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The current building was built in 1937. In 1964 the new gym(later named the Bud Bateman gym) was built to bring the sectionals back to Lawrenceburg. The School was renovated in 1980–1981. This brought the addition of the auxiliary gym, swimming pool, auditorium, and new choir room, band room, and cafeteria. by 2011 the foundation in the Bateman gym was shifting and it was demolished in 2014 and replaced with the current gymnasium in the same location. The new gym opened in 2015. Lawrenceburg is a city in Dearborn County, Indiana, United States. The population was 5,042 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat and largest city of Dearborn County. Lawrenceburg is in southeast Indiana, on the Ohio River west of Cincinnati. History Founded in 1802, Lawrenceburg was named for the maiden name of the wife of founder Samuel C. Vance. Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference
The Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference (EIAC) is a distinguished, eight-member IHSAA-sanctioned high school athletic conference. Current members consist of Batesville, Connersville, East Central, Franklin County, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Rushville, and South Dearborn. All eight member schools are located in rural southeast Indiana, spread across Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Ripley, and Rush counties. The EIAC was founded in 1956 when Brookville, Cambridge City, and Hagerstown of the East Central Conference joined with Aurora, Batesville, and Lawrenceburg of the Southeastern Indiana Conference. Batesville and Lawrenceburg are the only two of the original six founding schools that haven't consolidated or left the conference.
