Lawrence Prittipaul
Lawrence Roland Prittipaul (born 19 October 1979) is an English former cricketer. Life and career Prittipaul was born at Portsmouth in October 1979 to Indo-Guyanese parents. His cousin is the former West Indian batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He was educated in Portsmouth at St John's College. Prittipaul first played representative cricket for the Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) in the MCCA Knockout Trophy in 1998 and 1999, with his List A one-day debut coming for the HCB against Suffolk at Bury St Edmunds in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. Later in the 1999 season, Prittipaul made his senior debut for Hampshire against Worcestershire in the CGU National League. The following season, made his debut in first-class cricket for Hampshire against Kent at Canterbury in the County Championship, with him top-scoring in Hampshire's first innings with 52. Victory Ground, Bury St Edmunds
The Victory Ground is a cricket ground in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England. The ground was established in 1935, when Suffolk played the Surrey Second XI in the ground's first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1935 to the present day, it has hosted 50 Minor Counties matches. The first List-A match played on the ground came in the 1981 NatWest Trophy between Suffolk and Derbyshire. From 1981 to 2005, the ground hosted ten List-A matches, the last of which saw Suffolk play Glamorgan in the 2005 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. Glamorgan County Cricket Club
Glamorgan County Cricket Club ( cy, Criced Morgannwg) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan ( cy, Morgannwg). Founded in 1888, Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. In 1921, the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to first-class status, subsequently playing in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England and Wales. The Rose Bowl, known for sponsorship reasons as Ageas Bowl is a cricket ground and hotel complex in West End, Hampshire. It is the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club, who have played there since 2001. It was constructed as a replacement for the County Ground in Southampton and also the United Services Recreation Ground in Portsmouth, which had been Hampshire's homes since 1882. Hampshire played their inaugural first-class match at the ground against Worcestershire on 9–11 May 2001, with Hampshire winning by 124 runs. The County Ground in Southampton, England was a cricket and football ground. It was the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club from the 1885 English cricket season until the 2000 English cricket season. The ground also served as the home ground for Southampton Football Club from 1896 to 1898. Derbyshire County Cricket Club
Derbyshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Derbyshire. Its limited overs team is called the Derbyshire Falcons in reference to the famous peregrine falcon which nests on the Derby Cathedral (it was previously called the Derbyshire Scorpions until 2005 and the Phantoms until 2010). In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman. The term is also included in "century partnership" which occurs when two batsmen add 100 runs to the team total when they are batting together. St Lawrence Ground
The St Lawrence Ground is a cricket ground in Canterbury, Kent. It is the home ground of Kent County Cricket Club and since 2013 has been known as The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, due to commercial sponsorship. It is one of the oldest grounds on which first-class cricket is played, having been in use since 1847, and is the venue for Canterbury Cricket Week, the oldest cricket festival in the world. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket.
