Lawnton railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Lawnton in the Moreton Bay Region. History Lawnton station opened in 1888. In 2001, a third platform opened as part of the addition of a third track from Bald Hills to just north of the station. As part of the Redcliffe Peninsula railway line project, the third track has been extended north to Petrie including a new bridge over the North Pine River. Lawnton is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Lawnton had a population of 5,658 people. Geography Lawnton is bounded on the north and north-east by the North Pine River, to the south-east by the South Pine River and Four Mile Creek. Gympie Road passes through the centre of the suburb in a south-north direction. Kippa-Ring Railway Station
Kippa-Ring railway station is the terminus of the Redcliffe Peninsula railway line and serves the suburb of Kippa-Ring in Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It features a park & ride facility and local bus stops. A stabling facility, capable of holding 10 six car trains, is located to the west of the station. It opened, together with the rail line, on 4 October 2016. The Shire of Pine Rivers was a local government area about north of Brisbane in the Moreton Bay region of South East Queensland, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1888 until 2008, when it amalgamated with councils further north and east to form the Moreton Bay Region. The suburbs formerly within Pine Rivers are generally regarded as part of Greater Brisbane, both in a planning context and for statistical purposes. Strathpine Centre is an urban shopping centre located in Strathpine, a suburb in Moreton Bay, north of Brisbane. The centre was built and opened in 1983 by The Westfield Group. North Pine River
The North Pine River is a minor river located in South East Queensland, Australia. Location and features The North Pine River rises in the D'Aguilar Range in the Mount Mee State Forest, approximately northwest of Brisbane, and flows generally southeast to form its confluence with the South Pine River at Lawnton, where the river forms the Pine River. The river flows mostly through the Moreton Bay Region, just to the south of Dayboro. Along with Kobble Creek it is dammed at Whiteside to form the North Pine Dam, an artificial lake called Lake Samsonvale. This catchment provides drinking water to Redcliffe, Pine Rivers, Caboolture and the northern suburbs of Brisbane. After the North Pine Dam, the North Pine River continues through the suburbs of Petrie and Lawnton, where it meets with the South Pine River and forms the Pine River, flowing into Bramble Bay.
