Flag Of New Jersey
The coat of arms of the state of New Jersey includes: *A shield with three plows, representative of New Jersey's agricultural tradition. *A forward-facing helmet. *A horse's head as the crest of the helmet. *The female figures Liberty and Ceres, representative of the state's motto (see next item). Liberty is holding a staff supporting a stylized Phrygian cap; Ceres is holding an overflowing cornucopia. *The streamer at the foot of the emblem contains the State Motto of New Jersey, "Liberty and Prosperity", and the year of statehood, 1776. It was originally designed by Pierre Eugene du Simitiere in 1777 and was modified slightly in 1928. Atlantic County Sheriff's Office
The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office is a law enforcement agency located in Atlantic County, New Jersey, with countywide jurisdiction as mandated by the State Constitution of New Jersey. The Sheriff is responsible for providing a variety of functions associated with the judicial process and enforcement of law. Essex County Prosecutor's Office
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office (ECPO) is the largest and busiest county prosecutor's office in the State of New Jersey. It consists of approximately 140 assistant prosecutors (attorneys at law), 160 detectives licensed to carry arms, and 125 support staff. ECPO presently processes between 16,000 and 20,000 adult defendants charged with criminal acts per year. In addition, between 3,500 and 5,000 juveniles are processed each year through delinquency proceedings. Most of these defendants are arrested and charged by local or county-level law enforcement agencies, but ECPO also originates charges against defendants through its own investigatory units, and via direct indictment by the Essex County Grand Jury (i.e., charges issued directly by the grand jury and not prior to grand jury review). The New Jersey Transit Police Department (NJTPD) is a transit police agency of the New Jersey Transit Corporation in the state of New Jersey. The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) is the official state police force of the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is a general-powers police agency with statewide jurisdiction, designated by troop sectors.
