''Law of the Lash'' is a 1947 American Western (genre), Western film directed by Ray Taylor (director), Ray Taylor. The screenplay concerns a U.S. marshal who attempts to clean up a town that has been taken over by crooks. Ray Taylor (director)
Raymond Edgar Taylor (1 December 1888 – 15 February 1952) was an American film director. He directed 159 films between 1926 in film, 1926 and 1949 in film, 1949. His List of directorial debuts, debut was the 1926 film serial ''Fighting with Buffalo Bill''. Ray Taylor was one of the few Hollywood directors who specialized in a single type of film: he was an action specialist. Many action directors would be called upon at one time or another to helm a mainstream drama, romance, or mystery, but Ray Taylor established himself early in westerns and action fare, and he worked in this capacity throughout his career. Even a brief tenure directing the campus-capers "Collegians" shorts for Universal Pictures, Universal was appropriate for Taylor, as these two-reel subjects often emphasized visual action. Jack O'Shea (actor)
Jack O'Shea (born 19 November 1957 in Cahersiveen, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football at various times with his local clubs St Mary's in Kerry and Leixlip in Kildare. He was a member of the Kerry senior football team from 1976 until 1992. O'Shea is regarded as one of the all-time greatest players. He is currently a media pundit with a column in the sports section of the Irish edition of ''The Sunday Times''. His son Aidan made his debut for the Kerry senior team in their successful 2009 National Football League campaign. Richard Cramer
Richard Earl Cramer (July 3, 1889 – August 9, 1960) was an American actor in films from the late 1920s to the early 1950s. Burly, menacing and gravel-voiced, Cramer specialized in villainous roles in many low-budget westerns, but is today best remembered for his several appearances with Laurel and Hardy. He also appeared with W. C. Fields in his short film, '' The Fatal Glass of Beer'', which Mack Sennett produced. He was sometimes billed as Rychard Cramer or Dick Cramer. John Elliott (actor)
John Hugh Elliott (July 5, 1876 – December 12, 1956) was an American actor who appeared on Broadway and in over 300 films during his career. He worked sporadically during the silent film era, but with the advent of sound his career took off, where he worked constantly for 25 years, finding a particular niche in "B" westerns. His versatility allowed him to play both "good guys" and "bad guys" with equal aplomb, working right up until his death in 1956. Early life Elliott was born on July 1876 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Sarah E. Norris and Jehue S. Elliott. He was the third of four children, and the only boy; his two older sisters were named Elizabeth and Fanny, with his younger sister named Nina. In February 1897, when Elliott was 20, his mother, his sister Fanny came down with typhoid fever. Elliott would be the only one of the three to survive.
