Laval Titan
The Laval Titan was one of the names used by a junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) franchise that played in Laval, Quebec, Canada, between 1971 and 1998. History The Rosemont National began in the 1969–70 QMJHL season as one of the founding franchises of the QMJHL, playing in the Montreal borough of Rosemont, Quebec at the Paul Sauvé Arena. After only two seasons in Rosemont the team moved to Laval, Quebec, where they would play the next 27 years under several names. Laval National was the team's original name, but they were renamed the Laval Voisins (meaning neighbours) in 1979, and then the Titan ("Titans") in 1985. During the 1983-1984 season, Laval won their first QMJHL championship. The team was coached by Jean Bégin, and featured Mario Lemieux who had scored 133 goals and 282 points in 70 games during the regular season. Laval (; ) is a city in Quebec, Canada. It is in the southwest of the province, north of Montreal. It is the largest suburb of Montreal, the third-largest city in the province after Montreal and Quebec City, and the thirteenth largest city in Canada with a population of 422,993 in 2016. The Kamloops Blazers are a junior ice hockey team in the Western Hockey League (WHL). The team plays in the B.C. Division of the Western Conference, is based out of Kamloops, British Columbia, and play home games at Sandman Centre. The Blazers originated as the Estevan Bruins in 1966, became the New Westminster Bruins in 1971, and relocated to Kamloops in 1981 as the Kamloops Junior Oilers. Fred Burchell (ice Hockey)
Frederick Leo Gerald Burchell (January 9, 1931 – June 4, 1998) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born in Montreal, Quebec. Career Burchell began his hockey career when he played two games for the QSHL Montreal Royals. He played the next season with the NHL Montreal Canadiens. He moved on to the Eastern Hockey League to play for the Johnstown Jets where he finally found his scoring touch ( 37– 56– 93). He played for the next two seasons for the Montreal Royals again (during their league transition into a semi-pro league). He was again called up to the Canadiens and again playing two games and going pointless. He returned to the Montreal Royals before joining the Winnipeg Warriors. Mario Brunetta
Mario Brunetta (born January 25, 1967) is a Canadian-born Italian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 40 games in the National Hockey League with the Quebec Nordiques between 1987 and 1989. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1987 to 2003, was mainly spent in Europe. Internationally Brunetta played for the Italian national team in several tournaments, including the 1998 Winter Olympics and three World Championships. Joseph Jean-Guy Patrice Brisebois (born January 27, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman for the Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche, playing nearly 900 games with the former and 1,009 games overall. Brisebois was recently the Canadiens' Director of Player Development. Francis Joseph Bouillon (born October 17, 1975) is an American-Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators. Philippe Boucher (born March 24, 1973) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League. He is currently the general manager of the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. He also served as GM with the Quebec Remparts and the Rimouski Oceanic. Mike Bossy
Michael Dean Bossy (January 22, 1957April 15, 2022) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. He spent his entire NHL career, which lasted from 1977 to 1987, with the Islanders, and was a crucial part of their four consecutive Stanley Cup championships in the early 1980s. Bossy won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1978 as NHL rookie of the year when he set the then-record for most goals by a rookie with 53.
