Lautoka Football Club is a Fijian professional association football, football club based in Lautoka that competes in the Fiji Premier League, the top flight of Fijian football. Their home stadium is Churchill Park (Lautoka), Churchill Park. The club was formed in 1934. History Lautoka Soccer Football Association was formed in 1934, under the leadership of John Bairagi. In 1961, Lautoka became affiliated with the Fiji Football Association. Lautoka has the record of highest goals scored in the Inter-District Championship (IDC) finals. Lautoka thumped Ba F.C., Ba in the finals one year by 6–0 and by 7–0 another year and also beat Suva F.C., Suva in one of the finals by 7–1. That record remains untouched till this day. Lautoka () is the second largest Local government in Fiji, city in Fiji. It is on the west coast of the island of Viti Levu, in the Ba Province of the Western Division, Fiji, Western Division. Lying in the heart of Fiji's sugar cane-growing region, the city has come to be known as the Sugar City. Covering an area of 32 square kilometres, it had a population of 71,573 at the 2017 census, the most recent to date. Economic activities Lautoka is known as the ''Sugar City'' because of its sugar cane belt areas. The main Lautoka Sugar Mill was founded in 1903, and is the city's biggest employer by far. Judge Edward Aaron (January 24, 1923 – March 11, 1991) was an African American handyman in Birmingham, Alabama who was abducted by seven members of Asa Earl Carter's independent Ku Klux Klan group on Labor Day, September 2, 1957. Background Aaron, or Arone, was born in Barbour County, Alabama on January 24, 1923 and grew up in Batesville. Aaron, who was mildly developmentally disabled, was abducted by Klan members who beat him with an iron bar, carved the letters "KKK" into his chest, castrated him with a razor, and poured turpentine on his wounds. They then put him in the trunk of a car and drove him away from the scene, finally dumping him near a creek. Antonio Tuivuna (born 20 March 1995) is a Fijian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Labasa. Career Tuivana advanced through the youth ranks at Ba, making his senior debut in 2012 at the age of seventeen. After two years with the club, he departed on a free transfer to Suva A season later, Tuivana moved to Nadi before moving back to Ba on a $5,000 FJD transfer.
