Brixental
The Brixental ("Brixen Valley") is a southeastern side valley of the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley in Austria with a length of about 30 km (18.6 mi). Near Wörgl (513 m AMSL; 318 mi) the Brixental and Inn valleys meet. The Brixental had belonged to Salzburg since 1312 and first joined Tyrol in 1816 when the new European order came into being. The valley lies in the Kitzbühel Alps and its main river of the valley is the Brixentaler Ache. Behind a gentle mountain saddle near Brixen im Thale it reaches the ski resort of Kitzbühel, which is also the district capital and lies on the federal road (''Bundesstraße'') to Salzburg. Since 1875 the Salzburg-Tyrol Railway has also followed the course of the valley. The landscape of the Brixental is characterised by smooth, mainly wooded mountains. Lauterbach (Rügen)
Lauterbach () is a village in the borough of Putbus on the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen. The village has a population of about 500 and lies southeast of Putbus on the Bay of Greifswald. Lauterbach has a harbour and a connexion, via a branch line, to both the standard gauge railway network and the Rügen Light Railway. History The first known modern settlement in the area was in 1819 when a paper mill was built between the Goor woods and Neuendorf. Previously, Prince Wilhelm Malte of Putbus had established the first seaside resort on Rügen in 1816 on the beach at Neuendorf further to the south. Initially this resort only consisted of tents and bathing machines. In 1817/1818 a permanent bathing house was built in the Goor. In order to enable boats to land, it was decided in 1834 to build a landing stage. The site chosen for this, however, was the calmer bay of the present-day Lauterbach, and not Neuendorf. The ''Lauterbach Stradivarius'' of 1719 is an antique violin fabricated by Italy, Italian luthier, Antonio Stradivari of Cremona (1644–1737). The instrument derives its name from previous owner, German virtuoso, Johann Christoph Lauterbach. History of owners Composer and violinist Charles Philippe Lafont owned the violin. On his death, the violin was acquired by luthier and expert Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume. Vuillaume sold the violin to Johann Christoph Lauterbach. Poland, Polish textile manufacturer Henryk Grohman acquired the violin in 1900. Upon his death in 1939, he bequeathed his entire art collection to the Polish state. The violin was exhibited in the National Museum, Warsaw, National Museum of Warsaw. In 1944, it was allegedly stolen by a Germany, German Major (rank), Major Theodor Blank. Marienberg is a town in Germany. It was the district capital of the Mittlerer Erzgebirgskreis (Central Ore Mountains district) in the southern part of Saxony, and since August 2008 it has been part of the new district of Erzgebirgskreis. Lauterbach () is a town in the Vogelsbergkreis district of the federal state of Hesse in central Germany. In 1983, the town hosted the 23rd ''Hessentag'' state festival. History Lauterbach was founded between 400 and 800 AD. In 812 the town was mentioned for the first time in a document of the church in Schlitz. In the Middle Ages, Lauterbach belonged to the cloister in Fulda. Then in the 12th century Lauterbach became a fief of the count Ziegenhein from the cloister in Fulda. In 1266, Lauterbach received municipal rights. In the same year, Lauterbach started to build the castle (Burg) and the city wall. Over the following centuries, ownership rights of Lauterbach changed often and were complicated. Lauterbach became Lutheran following the Reformation.
