Laurianne Rossi
Laurianne Rossi (born 18 May 1984) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who was elected to the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017, representing the department of Hauts-de-Seine. Early life and education Rossi is a graduate of the Sciences Po Aix (2006) and of the Master 2 "Public Affairs" of the Pantheon-Sorbonne University (2007). During her studies, she completed internships with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Political career From 2007 to 2011, Rossi was a member of the Socialist Party. During that time, she was considered a supporter of Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Pierre Moscovici. She left the party in 2011. Deputies ( French: ''députés''), also known in English as Members of Parliament (MPs), are the legislators who sit in the National Assembly, the lower house of the French Parliament. La France Insoumise
La France Insoumise (FI or LFI; ; "France Unbowed") is a left-wing populist political party in France, launched in 2016 by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and former co-president of the Left Party (PG). It aims to implement the eco-socialist and democratic socialist programme ''L'Avenir en commun'' (). The party nominated Mélenchon as its candidate for the presidential election of 2017. Legislative elections in France were held on 12 and 19 June 2022 to elect the 577 members of the 16th National Assembly of the Fifth French Republic. The elections took place following the 2022 French presidential election, which was held in April 2022. They have been described as the most indecisive legislative elections since the establishment of the five-year presidential term in 2000 and subsequent change of the electoral calendar in 2002. For the first time since 1997, the incumbent president of France does not have an absolute majority in Parliament. Barbara Pompili (born 13 June 1975) is a French politician who served as Minister of the Ecological Transition under Prime Minister Jean Castex from 2020 to 2022. Pompili has previously served as member of the National Assembly for the 2nd constituency of Somme from 2012 to 2016 and from 2017 to 2020. A member of La République En Marche! François Henri Goullet de Rugy (; born 6 December 1973) is a French politician who served as President of the National Assembly from 2017 to 2018 and Minister of Ecological and Solidary Transition from 2018 to 2019. Since 2007, he has represented the Loire-Atlantique department, with an interruption between 2018 and 2019, originally as a member of the Democratic and Republican Left group, which includes his former political party Europe Ecology – The Greens. Richard Ferrand
Richard Ferrand (; born 1 July 1962) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who served as President of the National Assembly from 2018 to 2022. He had served as a member of the National Assembly for Finistère's 6th constituency from 2012 to 2022. A longtime member of the Socialist Party, he was the General Secretary LREM from October 2016 and became the leader of the party's group of the National Assembly in June 2017. The 15th legislature of the French Fifth Republic (french: XVe législature de la Cinquième République française) was the French Parliament that was in office from 27 June 2017 (following the legislative elections on 11 and 18 June 2017) until 21 June 2022. Quaestor
A ( , , ; "investigator") was a public official in Ancient Rome. There were various types of quaestors, with the title used to describe greatly different offices at different times. In the Roman Republic, quaestors were elected officials who supervised the state treasury and conducted audits. When assigned to provincial governors, the duties were mainly administrative and logistical, but also could expand to encompass military leadership and command. It was the lowest ranking position in the ' (course of offices); by the first century BC, one had to have been quaestor to be eligible for any other posts. In the Roman Empire, the position initially remained as assistants to the magistrates with financial duties in the provinces, but over time, it faded away in the face of the expanding imperial bureaucracy.
