Camillo Laurenti
Camillo Laurenti (20 November 1861 – 6 September 1938) was an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Prefect of the Sacred Congregation of Rites from 1929 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1921. Biography Early life Camillo Laurenti was born in Monte Porzio Catone, and studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, from where he obtained his doctorates in philosophy and in theology. He attended the Capranica College as well. Laurenti was ordained to the priesthood on 7 June 1884, and became an official of the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith on the following 1 September. Whilst serving as professor of philosophy at the Pontifical Urbanian Athenaeum ''De Propaganda Fide'' (1892–1908), he was raised to the rank of Privy Chamberlain Supernumerary on 3 August 1889. Mariano Laurenti
Mariano Laurenti (15 April 1929 – 6 January 2022) was an Italian film director and actor. Career He started as a script supervisor and later became an assistant director for, among others, Mauro Bolognini and Stefano Vanzina. He directed 50 films between 1966 and 1999, being mainly active in the "commedia sexy all'italiana" genre. Laurenti died in Gubbio on 6 January 2022, at the age of 92. Cesare Laurenti (painter)
Cesare Laurenti (November 6, 1854 – 1936) was an Italian painter. Biography Laurenti was born in Mesola, Ferrara. He moved to Padua at the age of 18 to work as an engraver under the guidance of the sculptor Luigi Ceccon. He was supported by the Count Leopoldo Ferri in this regard, and was able to meet the art critic Pietro Selvatica. In 1875, he married Annina Levi. In 1876, he moved to continue his training at the Accademia di Belli Arti in Florence. He arrived in Florence in 1876, and trained under Giuseppe Ciaranfi. He moved to Naples two years later and worked under Domenico Morelli. Having returned to Padua in 1881, he finally settled in Venice. After early works of genre painting, he developed a personal approach aimed at expressing the range of human feelings through intense female figures. He painted in oil, pastels, and watercolors. Adolfo Laurenti (1856-1944) was an Italian sculptor. He was born in Monte Porzio Catone. He studied at the Accademia di San Luca in Rome. He sculpted a number of monuments around his home province and in the Lazio. Laurenti was prolific in the production of portraits and monuments. At Turin, in 1880, he displayed busts of an ''Arab'', and of a ''prophet (Augur)'' and a ''Roman senator'' (awarded a prize). In 1888 in Rome, he displayed ''Nero''; ''Le smorfie dei satiri'', e ''Una partita a palline sulle rive del Tevere''. He sculpted a bust of ''Domenico Fernelli'' (1905) in bronze, located in the Giardini Nuvolari of Mantua. Cesare Laurenti (Terracina, 1865 – Rome, 1921) was an Italian naval engineer. Biography Laurenti was a naval engineering officer who designed submarines and founded a company to build them. He devoted himself to all branches of study in underwater navigation. In 1892 he became the director of technical experiments for the first Italian submarine, , which was driven by a battery-powered electric motor and designed by Giacinto Pullino. Lodovico Filippo Laurenti (1693–1757) was an composer from Bologna, Italy whose family was active in Bolognese musical life. His father, Bartolomeo, a composer and violinist, was a founder of the ''Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna''. Lodovico's older brother Pietro Paolo, a composer as well, was also a singer and cellist who became an ''Accademia'' member in 1698. Lodovico studied violin with his father, counterpoint with his brother, and learned to play a variety of musical instruments as well. He replaced his brother in a local orchestra as a violist in 1712, and joined the ''Accademia'' in 1717. Veit Heinichen (born 1957, in Villingen-Schwenningen) is a German novelist. Heinichen studied economics at Stuttgart University, and then worked in publishing. In 1994 together with Arnulf Conradi, chief editor at S. Fischer Verlag, and Conradi's wife Elisabeth Ruge, Heinichen was cofounder of . He remained a director until 1999.
