Lauren Taylor (golfer)
Lauren Abbie Taylor (born 26 August 1994) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won The Women's Amateur Championship in 2011. Early life and amateur career Taylor was born and raised in Rugby. Her younger sister Charlotte also plays golf successfully. She attended Ashlawn School, won the English Girls Under 15's title in 2008. She won the Dutch Junior Championships 2011 and 2012 and was given a wildcard for the Dutch Ladies Open on both occasions. She received sponsors' invitations to the Ladies European Tour Slovak Ladies Open in 2012, having qualified for the same event in 2011. During the 2011 event, she recorded two consecutive eagles on the par-5 4th hole and par-3 5th hole at Gray Bear Golf Club. Taylor became the youngest winner of the British Ladies Amateur in 2011, at the age of 16. Junior Solheim Cup
The Junior Solheim Cup is a version of the Solheim Cup for girls aged 12 to 18. It was inaugurated in 2002. It is currently officially called the PING Junior Solheim Cup. The Junior Solheim Cup follows a similar format to The Solheim Cup and features the top 12 U.S. amateur girls—defined as girls participating in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events—versus their European counterparts. College/university golfers are ineligible to participate in the event, even if they meet the age cutoff. The event is held over two days, with six fourball and six foursomes matches on the first day, and twelve singles matches on the second day. Each event has been held in the general vicinity of that year's Solheim Cup. The United States has won 7 of the 11 contests, with Europe winning 3, while the 2011 match ended in a tie. The 2013 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through November 2013 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour.
