Lauren Carpenter
Lauren Turner (also Carpenter) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Kate Kendall. The role was originally played by Sarah Vandenbergh, and she made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 16 February 1993. Lauren was introduced as the "vivacious" daughter of Lou Carpenter (Tom Oliver). Vandenbergh described her as being happy, headstrong and into horses. She also thought that just by looking at the character you knew she was a girl next door type. Lauren's major storylines during her first stint in the show saw her have an affair with Brad Willis (Scott Michaelson), join a religious cult and begin a casual relationship with Wayne Duncan (Jonathon Sammy-Lee). Vandenbergh decided to leave the serial when she was told that Lauren would not feature prominently in storylines anymore. She departed on 2 March 1994. On 4 November 2012, it was announced Lauren would be returning to ''Neighbours'' with Kendall taking over the role. ...

Sarah Vandenbergh
Sarah Vandenbergh (born 9 October 1972 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian actress and presenter. Vandenbergh played the original role of Lauren Carpenter in '' Neighbours'', 1993–94, and Kerri in ''Hollyoaks'' in 1999. She was also a presenter on ''Fully Booked'' from 1996 to 1997 and appeared in the guest role of Lana Hemmings in '' Holby City''. Later, appeared as a nun in short film ''Fancy Dress'' and as student Cassie Sanderson in ''Inbetweeners'', a film about the British student experience. In 2006, she guest starred in an episode of ''McLeod's Daughters''. Piper Willis is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'', played by Mavournee Hazel. The actress went through a long casting process, which involved her travelling to Melbourne to audition three times. Months later, she was offered the role. Hazel then relocated to the city from Sydney within three days, so she was available for fittings and filming the following week. Tom Oliver (born 12 June 1938) is a British-born Australian retired actor who started his career in theatre in his native country, before emigrating to Australia. Oliver, a staple of the small screen since the early 1960s, is best known for his TV soap opera roles, most especially ''Neighbours'' as Lou Carpenter, a role he played for 25 years. Shannon Louise "Lolly" Allen (also Carpenter) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours''.
