Laura Morera
Laura Morera is a Spanish ballet dancer who was a principal dancer with The Royal Ballet until 2023. Early life and training Morera was born in Madrid. She started going to London to attend Royal Academy of Dance's summer programme when she was seven, and when she was 10, she auditioned for The Royal Ballet School by dancing a solo from ''Paquita'' in pointe shoes. She graduated in 1995. Career Morera joined The Royal Ballet after she graduated from the school. She became First Artist in 1998, Soloist in 1999, First Soloist in 2002 and Principal Dancer in 2007. ''Mayerling'' is a ballet choreographed by Kenneth MacMillan to the music of Franz Liszt, arranged by John Lanchbery, scenario by Gillian Freeman and designed by Nicholas Georgiadis. ''La fille mal gardée'' (English: ''The Wayward Daughter'', literal translation: "The Poorly Guarded Girl"), Frederick Ashton's Royal Ballet production, began in 1959 when British choreographer Frederick Ashton created a new version of ''La fille mal gardée'' for the Royal Ballet of London. ''The Dream'' is a one-act ballet adapted from Shakespeare's '' A Midsummer Night's Dream'', with choreography by Frederick Ashton to music by Mendelssohn arranged by John Lanchbery. ''Onegin'' is a ballet created by John Cranko for the Stuttgart Ballet, premiered on 13 April 1965 at Staatstheater Stuttgart.
