Laura Friedman
Laura Friedman (born December 3, 1966) is an Americans, American politician serving in the California State Assembly and a candidate for California's 30th congressional district. A Democratic Party (United States), Democrat, she represents the California's 43rd State Assembly district, 43rd Assembly District, encompassing the cities of Glendale, California, Glendale, Burbank, California, Burbank, the unincorporated community of La Crescenta-Montrose, and northern portions of Los Angeles, California, Los Angeles, including Studio City and Sherman Oaks. Prior to her election to the Assembly in 2016, Friedman was a member of the Glendale, California, Glendale City Council. She also served as Mayor of Glendale from 2011 to 2012. She is the author of a landmark pro-housing bill to eliminate minimum parking requirements for housing near mass transit stations throughout the state of California; the bill was signed into law in 2022. California High Speed Rail
California High-Speed Rail (also known as CAHSR or CHSR) is a publicly funded high-speed rail system currently under construction in California in the United States. Planning for the project began in 1996, when the California Legislature and Governor Pete Wilson established the California High-Speed Rail Authority and tasked it with creating a plan for the system and presenting it to the voters of the state for approval. In 2008, voters approved Proposition 1A, which established a route connecting all the major population centers of the state, authorized bonds to begin implementation, and set other requirements. The CAHSR system is being implemented in segments. The first of the dedicated HSR segments, the Interim Initial Operating Segment ("Interim IOS"), is being constructed now in the San Joaquin Valley portion of California's Central Valley. Gavin Christopher Newsom (born October 10, 1967) is an American politician and businessman who has been the 40th governor of California since 2019. Art glass is a subset of glass art, this latter covering the whole range of art made from glass. Art glass normally refers only to pieces made since the mid-19th century, and typically to those purely made as sculpture or decorative art, with no main utilitarian function, such as serving as a drinking vessel, though of course stained glass keeps the weather out, and bowls may still be useful. The term is most used of American glass, where the style is "the logical outcome of the American demand for novelty during the 19th century and was characterized by elaborate form and exotic finish", but not always the highest quality of execution.
