Laura Fenton (born June 28, 1962) is an American racquetball player. She won two World Championships in doubles, and finished in the top 10 on the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization rankings seven times in her career. Racquetball World Championships
The World Racquetball Championships is the top international racquetball competition organized by the International Racquetball Federation (IRF). History The first event was held in 1981 as part of the 1981 World Games. The second World Championships were in 1984, and they have been a biannual event since then with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic period, which delayed the 2020 event by one year. Worlds have been held in 13 countries across four continents: North and South America as well as Asia and Europe. The United States has hosted Worlds most often - 4 times, though not since 1996, followed by Mexico, 3 times, and twice each in Canada, the Dominican Republic, and South Korea. The 2022 World Championships were held in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, which was the first time Worlds was in Mexico since 2000, when it was also held in San Luis Potosi. Josée Grand'Maître
Josée Grand'Maître (born July 28, 1961) is a Canadian retired racquetball player from Hull, Quebec (now Gatineau, Quebec). Grand'Maître won the Canadian Women's Singles title three times, and the Canadian Women's Doubles title 15 times. Her last title came in doubles in May 2014 with Jennifer Saunders as her partner. Grand'Maître's 15 doubles titles are the most ever, and her 18 combined titles place her third on the all time list behind Saunders (20) and Mike Green (21). Canadian career Grand'Maître was Canadian Women's Singles Champion three times: in 1996, 1999, and 2001. Her first title in 1996 came over Christie Van Hees, while in 1999 Grand'Maître defeated Lucie Guillemette, who was also her doubles partner that year. In the 2001, she defeated Jennifer Saunders. Michelle Gould (racquetball)
Michelle Gould (née Gilman), born December 22, 1970, is a retired American racquetball player. She was the dominant player in the 1990s, finishing as the #1 player on the women's pro tour seven of those 10 seasons. Gould was once called "the best, man or woman, to ever play" racquetball. She had a strong drive serve. Injuries led to her retirement in 1999. Professional career Gould first appeared in the women's pro tour season ending top 10 at #2 in 1989–90, and then finished #1 in seven of the next eight seasons.
