The 1st Latin American Music Awards was held on October 8, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It was broadcast live on Telemundo. The nominations were announced on September 2, 2015, on Telemundo's website. Nicky Jam leads the nominees with six nominations. Lucero was announced as a host on October 2, 2015. Rashel Diaz, Boris Izaguirre, Christian Ramirez, Kika Rocha, and Caeli were all announced co-hosts of the pre-show on the same day. Latin American Music Award
The Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) is an annual American music awards show produced by the MRC (company), MRC Live and Alternative. It is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards (AMAs). As with AMAs, the Latin AMAs are determined by a poll of the public and music buyers and is produced by SOMOS Productions. The first Latin AMAs debuted on October 8, 2015 on Telemundo and was hosted by Lucero (entertainer), Lucero. The awards were not held in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they resumed a year later. In 2023, the broadcast will be moved from Telemundo to UniMás. "Sigueme y Te Sigo" ( en, "Follow Me and I Follow You") is a song by Puerto Rican artist Daddy Yankee. It is the second single from his upcoming studio album ''El Disco Duro'', originally scheduled to be released during early 2017. It was written by Daddy Yankee, Luis "Wichi" Ortíz and Chris Jeday (who is also the producer). The song received two Latin Grammy Awards nominations and won a Latin American Music Award for Favorite Urban Song in 2015. Music video The official music video was released on May 11 through his Vevo channel. The theme of the video features a live singer at a school dance, with the king and queen to be chosen according to how many followers they have in social networks, hence the title of the song, although the lyrics are not centred in social networks.
