''The Business'' is Australia's leading business news television programme on ABC and ABC News in Australia. The program is hosted by Alicia Barry. It is broadcast four nights a week Monday to Thursday at 8.45pm (AEST/AEDT) weekdays on ABC News and 10.30pm (AEST/AEDT) on ABC. The program format involves a wrap up of the domestic market movements of the day, feature stories on business news events and usually at least one interview per night with leading business and political figures. The programme also features overseas market news and analysis from major stock exchanges. It is broadcast from the ABC's Sydney studio in Ultimo. History The program launched on 14 August 2006 as ''Lateline Business'' and was rebranded as ''The Business'' in January 2012. Ali Moore
Ali Moore (born 1964) is an Australian TV journalist and radio broadcaster. Career Moore began her career in 1987 as a cadet for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where she was active in a number of programmes. In 1996 she moved to the Nine Network, where she was a reporter and eventually presenter of ''Business Sunday''. Shortly after Moore left ''Business Sunday'' merged into the ''Sunday'' program. She was also a fill-in host for '' Today on Saturday'' and filled in for Tracy Grimshaw from 1999 until 2003 on ''Today''. The morning after the 11 September attacks in New York, Ali co-hosted the program from 6am until 11am bringing in the latest information from the developing story alongside Steve Liebmann. Ticky Fullerton (born 2 November 1963) is an English-born Australian journalist and TV presenter. Fullerton has hosted '' The Business'' on ABC News 24, ''Ticky'' on Sky News Business Channel and Your Money. She was previously a fill-in presenter of ''Lateline.'' Personal life Fullerton grew up in Surrey, England, and has three siblings. She took a law degree at Magdalen College, University of Oxford, graduating in 1985. At Oxford she was a contemporary of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. After graduation she became an associate director with Credit Suisse First Boston, working in London. She then worked for Credit Suisse First Boston in Sydney, raising capital for businesses and government. She currently lives in Sydney with one son.
