Lat Krabang District
Lat Krabang ( th, ลาดกระบัง, ) is one of the eastern districts of Bangkok. Geography & history Lat Krabang (literally translating to "slope of shield") is a second largest district of Bangkok (the first one is neighbouring district Nong Chok). Neighbouring districts are (from the south clockwise): Bang Bo, Bang Sao Thong and Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province); Prawet, Saphan Sung, Min Buri and Nong Chok (Bangkok) and Mueang Chachoengsao (Chachoengsao province). Two-thirds of the district is farmland. Another part is the industrial park and residential area. Therefore, it is filled with ditches and canals, Khlong Prawet Burirom is a main waterway. The identity of the district is that local culture and the way of life are based on canal culture, even now it is still local way of life since there is no road access in certain areas. Mueang Chachoengsao District
Mueang Chachoengsao ( th, เมืองฉะเชิงเทรา, ), formerly named the Mueang Paet Rio District (Thai: เมืองแปดริ้ว), is the capital district ('' amphoe mueang'') of Chachoengsao province, Eastern Thailand. History Mueang Chachoengsao district was established in 1896. The present district office is close to the bank of the Bang Pakong River in Na Mueang subdistrict. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise): Bang Nam Priao, Khlong Khuean, Bang Khla, Ban Pho of Chachoengsao Province; Bang Bo of Samut Prakan province; Lat Krabang and Nong Chok of Bangkok. Hua Takhe
250px, Hua Takhe community in the morning Hua Takhe ( th, หัวตะเข้, ) is a community and marketplace in Lat Krabang Subdistrict, Lat Krabang District, and the name of the surrounding its location in eastern Bangkok. Hua Takhe is in an old community along the Khlong Prawet Burirom, where is a confluence of three '' khlongs'' (canals) Prawet Burirom, Lam Pla Thio, and Hua Takhe. Its name meaning "crocodile's head". Because when the khlong was canalize in this area, there was an excavation to discover a small crocodile skull. It also has become the name of other places around this area were Sisa Chorakhe Noi, Sisa Chorakhe Yai etc. Presently, the skull of small crocodile and two pieces rostrum of sawfish are enshrined in the local tutelary joss house. Nakhon Suvarnabhumi Province
Nakhon Suvarnabhumi ( th, นครสุวรรณภูมิ) was a proposed new province of Thailand in southeast Bangkok around Suvarnabhumi Airport. It was planned to include the districts Lat Krabang and Prawet of Bangkok and Bang Sao Thong and Bang Phli of Samut Prakan Province, an area of 521 km2 with about 462,000 residents. The proposal was announced in October 2005, with a draft bill approved by the cabinet in June 2006. According to the bill, for the first four years the province would be run by a governor appointed by the Interior Ministry and supervised by a 30 member administrative board chaired by the prime minister. After four years the administrative board would be dissolved, but the final administrative structure of the province was never set. It was planned to become a special administrative zone, probably having an elected governor like Bangkok.
