Sam Newfield
Sam Newfield, born Samuel Neufeld, (December 6, 1899 - November 10, 1964), also known as Sherman Scott or Peter Stewart, was an American B-movie director, one of the most prolific in American film history—he is credited with directing over 250 feature films in a career which began during the silent era and ended in 1958. In addition to his staggering feature output, he also directed one -and two-reel comedy shorts, training films, industrial films, TV episodes and pretty much anything anyone would pay him for. Because of this massive output—he would sometimes direct more than 20 films in a single year—he has been called the most prolific director of the sound era. Many of Newfield's films were made for PRC Pictures. This was a film production company headed by his brother Sigmund Neufeld. Edward Linden (born Edwin Gilbert Linden, August 26, 1891 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, USA; died November 15, 1956 (age 68) in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American cinematographer. He served as cinematographer for ''King Kong'', ''Son of Kong'', and the Frank Buck serial ''Jungle Menace'', as well directing ''Scar Hanan''. Career During World War I, Linden worked in Chicago for the Selig Polyscope Company as a motion picture photographer, according to his World War I draft registration card. Early years Elliott was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Career Elliott played many different roles, typically as a somewhat blustery sort, such as a politician. Paul Dunlap (July 19, 1919 – March 11, 2010) was an American composer. He wrote music for over 200 films during his 30-year career. He is best known for his work with Western movies. Early life William Paul Dunlap was born to William P. and Janice P. Dunlap in 1919. He was born in Springfield, Ohio. He enjoyed music, and studied with great composers Arnold Schoenberg, Nadia Boulanger, and Ernst Toch. He wanted to be a concert hall or opera composer; however, there was a greater opportunity to build a career as a composer in the film industry. When he was 31 years old, Dunlap left for Hollywood to begin his career. Career Dunlap's film career began in 1950 when he scored ''The Baron of Arizona''. This was a Sam Fuller film, and led to Dunlap producing other scores for his movies like ''The Naked Kiss'' and '' Shock Corridor.'' Sigmund Neufeld
Sigmund Neufeld (May 3, 1896 – March 21, 1979) was an American B movie producer. He spent many years at Poverty Row studio Producers Releasing Corporation where he mainly produced films directed by his brother Sam Newfield. When PRC was taken over by Eagle-Lion Films in 1947 they both left the company. Eagle-Lion had goals of making bigger, more ambitious movies, a change in strategy that Sigmund deemed to be a financial mistake. During the following years he and his brother made several films for Film Classics. When this company also merged with Eagle-Lion in 1950 they both moved to Lippert Pictures.
