Last Rites (1975 Film)
''Last Rites'' is a 1975 Australian television play. It later aired in 1977 as an episode of '' Stuart Wagstaff's World Playhouse''. Premise Industrialist Eric Cordett, arranges a meeting with an Asian consortium at his country house miles out of Sydney. It is seven years since his wife, Viola, was kidnapped from the house, never to be seen again, and Cordett has not been there since. He now has control of his wife's assets. Charles Russell (actor)
Charles Russell (March 31, 1918 – January 18, 1985) was a movie and radio actor who appeared in 17 movies between 1943 and 1950. He was also a television producer who worked in Hollywood and Australia. Acting Career Born in New York City, Russell made his debut in an uncredited part as a ball player in ''Ladies' Day'' (1943). His last film was ''Chinatown at Midnight'' (1949). He originated the role of insurance investigator Johnny Dollar in the CBS Radio series ''Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar'' in 1949, playing the role until being replaced by Edmond O'Brien in 1950. Russell married fellow 20th Century-Fox contract player Nancy Guild in 1947, and they had one child, a daughter, Elizabeth, in 1949. They divorced in 1950. Colin Free (1 September 1925–26 May 1996) was an Australian writer best known for his work in TV. Biography Colin Free was born on 1 September 1925 in Sydney, Australia. He died on 26 May 1996 in Goulburn, Australia. He wrote for the theatre, notably Hamlet in shadow – Sydney in 1954. Free wrote scripts for the BBC and the ABC, as well as for radio. Cornelia Frances Zulver, OAM (7 April 1941 – 28 May 2018), credited professionally as Cornelia Frances, was an English-Australian actress. After starting her career in small cameos in films in her native England, she became best known for her acting career in Australia after emigrating there in the 1960s, particularly her iconic television soap opera roles with portrayals of nasty characters. Frances was of the latter known for her role as Morag Bellingham on '' Home and Away'' since its inception in 1988, after leaving that series, she appeared on a semi-regular basis as the storyline permitted, rejoining briefly as a permanent cast member in 2001, before going back to an itinerant basis.
