Alf Sjöberg
Sven Erik Alf Sjöberg (21 June 1903 – 17 April 1980) was a Sweden, Swedish theatre director, theatre and film director. He won the Palme d'Or, Grand Prix du Festival at the Cannes Film Festival twice: in 1946 for ''Torment (1944 film), Torment'' ( sv, Hets) (part of an eleven-way tie), and in 1951 for his film ''Miss Julie (1951 film), Miss Julie'' ( sv, Fröken Julie) (an adaptation of August Strindberg's play which tied with Vittorio De Sica's ''Miracle in Milan''). Despite his success with those films, Sjöberg was foremost a stage director, perhaps the greatest at Dramaten (alongside first Olof Molander and later Ingmar Bergman). He was a First Director of Sweden's Royal Dramatic Theatre between 1930 and 1980; he staged there many remarkable and historic productions. Hugo Björne
Hugo Björne (4 February 1886 – 14 February 1966) was a Swedish film and theater actor. Biography Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden. He made his stage debut in 1907 and belonged to the acting company of Hjalmar Selander until 1911 when he moved to the theater company of Einar Fröberg where he worked until 1914. Björne was involved at Svenska Teatern in Stockholm (1914–1925), at Vasateatern (1925–1926), at Oscarsteatern (1926–1932) and later at Vasateatern under the direction of Gösta Ekman (1932–1936).  After 1946, he became committed to the Dramaten. He made his film acting debut in 1913, starring in silent movies. Later, Björne would be better known as a supporting actor. He was quite productive, participating in more than 130 films where he often portrayed rather anonymous characters such as judges, professors and doctors. Jullan Kindahl
Jullan Kindahl (12 April 1885 – 18 April 1979) was a Swedish actress. Born Julia Carolina Carlsson, she worked as an actress from 1900s until the 1960s. She appeared in Swedish theatres like the Hippodromen in Malmö, the Malmö City Theatre in Malmö and the Stora Teatern in Göteborg. Kindahl also made 33 films between 1923 and 1962. She remains perhaps best known for her domestic supporting roles in two films: as the cook Beata in ''Smiles of a Summer Night'' (1955) and as Professor Borg's housekeeper Agda in '' Wild Strawberries'' (1957), both of which were directed by Ingmar Bergman. She was married to actor Arvid Kindahl (1887–1927) from 1913 until his early death. Jan-Olof Strandberg (9 September 1926 – 2 May 2020) was a Swedish stage and film actor. He appeared in 45 films since 1947. On stage one of his most famous parts was as Vladimir in Samuel Beckett's '' Waiting for Godot'', at Sweden's Royal Dramatic Theatre (where he performed 85 parts over the years).
