Last Feelings
''Last Feelings'' ( it, L'ultimo sapore dell'aria) is a 1978 melodrama film written and directed by Ruggero Deodato. Plot Diego Micheli is a troubled teenage runaway who tries to turn his life around by joining a swimming team and competing in national tryouts and champion races. After coming to the attention of Marco, a swimming instructor, and falling in love with Marco's sister Claudia, he is diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, and is determined to take part in the European Swimming Championships in Holland before it can kill him. Ruggero Deodato
Ruggero Deodato (born 7 May 1939) is an Italian film director, screenwriter, and sometime actor. His career has spanned a wide-range of genres including peplum, comedy, drama, poliziottesco and science fiction, yet he is perhaps best known for directing violent and gory horror films with strong elements of realism. His most notable film is ''Cannibal Holocaust'', considered one of the most controversial and brutal in the history of cinema, which was seized, banned or heavily censored in many countries, and which contained special effects so realistic that they led to Deodato being arrested on suspicion of murder. It is also cited as a precursor of found footage films such as ''The Blair Witch Project'' and '' The Last Broadcast''. Roberto Pangaro (born 6 July 1950) is a retired Italian freestyle swimmer. He competed at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics in several 100 m and 200 events and reached the final in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay in 1976. Gianni Solaro (born Gianni Lorenzon, 11 August 1926 – 12 August 2006) was an Italian film and television actor. Life and career Born in Rome, Solaro was a character actor in the Italian film industry for about twenty years, between the late 1950s and the late 1970s. During his career he spanned any sort of role, alternating genre films and art films, and notably working with Mario Monicelli, Marco Bellocchio, Luigi Zampa, Mario Camerini, Francesco Maselli and Florestano Vancini. Fiorenzo Fiorentini (10 April 1920 – 27 March 2003) was an Italian actor, author, composer, screenwriter and radio personality. Life and career Born in Rome, Fiorentini began his career as an author and radio actor, creating many successful macchiette (i.e. comic monologues caricaturing stock characters). He made his stage debut in 1954, in the revue ''Tutto fa Broadway''. He later focused his stage activity on plays and shows related to Roman culture, often collaborating with Mario Scaccia. In 1980 he founded the Ettore Petrolini Study Centre in Rome. Fiorentini appeared in numerous films, mostly comedies, sometimes even collaborating on the screenplays.
