"Last Chance to Dance" is a compilation album released in 1982 by New Zealand band, Hello Sailor. It reached number 11 on the New Zealand music charts. It was repackaged with a greatest hits album by fellow New Zealand band Th' Dudes and re-released on CD in 1991, where it reached number 35 on the New Zealand music charts. Hello Sailor was a New Zealand pop/rock band originally formed in 1975. Although the band formally disbanded in 1980 after just two albums, they have continued to sporadically reunite during the years since; recording a further four albums and performing numerous live tours and appearances. History The band's guitarist/vocalists Dave McArtney and Harry Lyon first played together in the mid 1960s. Their first gig as Hello Sailor was at the Trees Tavern in Tokoroa. After several lineup changes, the band released its first album, '' Hello Sailor'', in 1977, which went on to become the first New Zealand made record to be certified gold. The line-up at that time was Graham Brazier on vocals and some guitar and saxophone, McArtney and Lyon on guitars and vocals, Lisle Kinney on bass, and Ricky Ball on drums. Th' Dudes are a New Zealand rock band that was formed in the late 1970s in Auckland, New Zealand. Hits include "Walking in Light", "Right First Time", " Be Mine Tonight" and "Bliss". History 1975–1980 The band was formed by Morris, Urlich, Coleman and Dobbyn, students at Sacred Heart College in Auckland. Ian Gordon Morris (22 January 1957 – 7 October 2010) was a musician, record producer, recording engineer and songwriter from New Zealand. Musical career Ian Morris and his brother Richard (who would also go on to become a successful singer, songwriter and sound engineer in New Zealand under the name ''Rikki Morris'') were born in England but emigrated with their family to New Zealand in 1966. They attended Sacred Heart College, Auckland. Ian was a founding member of iconic New Zealand band Th' Dudes, formed at Sacred Heart in 1975.
