Lasse Nieminen
Lasse Nieminen (born August 29, 1966) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey left winger. Nieminen played a total of 521 games in the SM-liiga for JYP. He played with the team from 1983 to 1990, 1991 to 1996 and 1997 to 1998. After leaving JYP, he played in the I-Divisioona for Diskos and in Sweden's Division 2 for Halmstad Hammers before retiring in 2000. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. JYP Jyväskylä
JYP is an ice hockey team playing in the Finnish top division Liiga. They play in Jyväskylä, Finland, at the LähiTapiola Areena. History JYP was founded in 1923. First it was the ice hockey section of the sports club ''Jyväskylän Palloilijat'' until 1977. Then they separated from that sports club to be an independent hockey club called JyP HT. The current full name of the club is ''JYP Jyväskylä Oy'', having been registered as an osakeyhtiö since 1999. The SM-liiga (marketed as just Liiga from 2013 on), (Finnish for ''League'') colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. It is one of the six founding leagues of the Champions Hockey League and currently allocated five spots - the maximum number - based on success in previous editions. It was created in 1975 to replace the SM-sarja, which was fundamentally an amateur league. The SM-liiga is not directly overseen by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, but the league and association have an agreement of cooperation. A paten or diskos is a small plate, used during the Mass. It is generally used during the liturgy itself, while the reserved sacrament are stored in the tabernacle in a ciborium. Western usage In many Western liturgical denominations, the paten is typically either a simple saucer-like plate or a low bowl. A smaller style paten will often have a depression that allows it to securely sit on top of the chalice, as shown in the illustration on the left here. The Adelaide Avalanche was a semi-professional ice hockey club based in the Adelaide suburb of Thebarton, South Australia. The Avalanche, founded in 1999, was a founding member of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). The team’s home venue was the Snowdome Adelaide (now known as IceArenA). The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) is Australia's top-level ice hockey league.
