Lasgo
Lasgo were a Belgian electronic music group. The group formed in 1999 was composed of Evi Goffin, David Vervoort, Peter Luts, and Dave McCullen). Peter Luts confirmed on Belgian radio in 2008 that Evi Goffin was not returning to the band, after choosing to become a full-time mother. Luts announced around the same time that he was looking for a new vocalist for the band. Together with Belgian TV station JIMtv, he organized a televised search (in similar fashion to talent shows like '' Idols'') for a new vocalist, that came to pick Van Dael as the singer. Throughout their career, Lasgo have sold more than five million units of their albums ''Some Things'' and '' Far Away'', and the singles from those albums. Something (Lasgo Song)
"Something" is the debut single of Belgian music group Lasgo. It was first released on 15 June 2001 as the lead single from their debut album, ''Some Things'' (2001). It became a hit in the band's native Belgium, peaking at 5 in the Flanders region, and reached the top 10 in several mainland European countries. On 25 February 2002, it was released in the United Kingdom, reaching No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. It also peaked within the top 40 in the United States. In 2013, the song was re-released with new vocals from Jelle instead of Evi. The remade song also features vocals from British pop singer Taylor Jones. Chart performance In Spain, the single was the best selling vinyl at the distributor the week it was released, reaching number 14 on the country's chart. ''Some Things'' is the debut album by Belgian trio Lasgo, originally released in Belgium on 19 November 2001 with Antler-Subway record label. The album was also released across the world throughout 2001 and 2002. At the time of album release, the trio consisted of lead vocalist Evi Goffin (left group in 2008), and record producers Peter Luts and David Vervoort (aka Dave McCullen; former group member). Dave McCullen
Dave McCullen (born David Vervoort; 28 December 1977 in Bonheiden, Belgium) is a Belgian record producer, DJ, and musician, who was a producer and composer for Ian van Dahl, and a founding member of the group Lasgo, along with producer Peter Luts and vocalist Evi Goffin. McCullen left Lasgo after the release of the 2006 album ''Some Things'', and was replaced by Jef Martens. Peter Luts confirmed on Belgian radio in 2008 that Evi Goffin was not returning to Lasgo, after choosing to become a full-time mother. However Goffin later stated that she did not want to leave Lasgo, but had several conflicts with her management. On April 21, 2009 Dave McCullen became Evi Goffin's boyfriend and had kids. Peter Luts
Peter Luts (born 14 December 1971 in Heusden-Zolder) is a Belgian DJ, remixer and record producer. He is a member of the vocal trance act Lasgo and the producer behind the group AnnaGrace (formerly known as Ian Van Dahl). Luts, whose musical career began at age 12, has released various tracks under the aliases Astroline, Abnea, Heliac, Outrowz, Groovewatchers, and others, while working with Lasgo. He wrote and produced "Love Is the Message", which was the anthem of the 8th edition of the City Parade in 2005. Jef Martens (), better known by his stage name Basto (stylized as Basto!), is a Belgian record producer, musician and DJ. He primarily produces electro house music, and he is signed to the ARS label. He has produced using various aliases such as Bitch Boys, Candyman, Dirty Bunch, DJ Basik, Felix Project, Jin Sonic, Kings of Porn, and Lazy Jay.
