Las Vegas Sin
The Las Vegas Sin was a team in the Legends Football League, primarily based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Sin was originally announced in 2006 as one of four expansion teams to be included in the 2008 Lingerie Bowl along with the Atlanta Steam, Miami Caliente and San Francisco Seduction. The 2008 event was cancelled and the organization then launched the Lingerie Football League (LFL) in 2009. When the league began play in the 2009–10 season, the Sin were not included as one of the ten inaugural franchises. The 2010–11 LFL season's championship, still called the Lingerie Bowl, was held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with the announced intention of establishing the Sin for 2011. The San Diego Seduction was a women's American football team in the Lingerie Football League that began play in the league's inaugural 2009–10 season. The Seduction was based in San Diego, California, with home games played at the San Diego Sports Arena. 2011–12 LFL Season
The 2011-12 LFL Season was the third season of the Lingerie Football League. The league features 12 teams in various cities across the United States and Canada. For the 2011–2012 season the League granted five new franchises: Cleveland Crush, Green Bay Chill, Las Vegas Sin, Minnesota Valkyrie and Toronto Triumph. Dallas Desire has suspended operations for the 2011-2012 season with a planned return in 2012-2013. The stated reasons were financial and issues with the commitment of players on and off the field. The statuses of the Miami Caliente and San Diego Seduction are unknown; they are no longer included on the LFL's list of teams and are not included in the 2011-2012 schedule, but no suspension of operations has been publicly indicated. 2010–11 LFL Season
The 2010–11 LFL Season was the second season of the Lingerie Football League. The league featured 10 teams in various cities across the United States. For the 2010–11 season, the league launched two expansion franchises in the Orlando Fantasy and Baltimore Charm, while the Denver Dream and New York Majesty suspended operations because of issues with home venues. After the 2009–10 season, in which all games were broadcast exclusively on the internet, the league returned to traditional television for 2010. All games, except for the Lingerie Bowl, were broadcast in edited form on MTV2. The Lingerie Bowl aired on pay-per-view alongside the Super Bowl. The 2010 LFL All-Fantasy Game was held June 10, 2010, in Monterrey, Mexico, with the Eastern Conference prevailing over the Western Conference 36–14. The 2009–10 LFL Season was the inaugural season of the Lingerie Football League. The league was formed from a concept called the Lingerie Bowl, that was featured during half-time of the Super Bowl. The season featured 10 teams in cities across the United States. The season kicked off on September 4, 2009, and culminated with Lingerie Bowl VII on February 7, 2010. The championship game, scheduled to coincide with Super Bowl XLIV, was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The Western Conference Los Angeles Temptation defeated the Eastern Conference Chicago Bliss by the score of 27–14. Lingerie Football League
The Extreme Football League (X League) is an American women's semi-professional tackle football league. The league was originally founded in 2009 as the Lingerie Football League (LFL), and later rebranded as the Legends Football League in 2013. On December 13, 2019, the league announced that it would not be holding a 2020 season and that it had instead restructured under its current name, placing new teams mostly in the same locations as the 2019 LFL season. Miami Caliente
The Miami Caliente was a women's American football team in the Lingerie Football League based in the Miami area. They were part of the Lingerie Bowl's expansion into a full-fledged league in 2009 with home games at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. Head coach Bob Hewko was a quarterback for the University of Florida and a back-up quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On November 13, 2009, Taira Turley and Tina Caccavale were ejected from a game for fighting when a multiple-player brawl, instigated by Morgan McGrath, erupted near the end of the game against the New York Majesty. Krystal Gray of the Majesty was also ejected and suspended for one game. Atlanta Steam
The Atlanta Steam is a women's American football team of the Legends Football League (LFL) based in Duluth, Georgia, a Gwinnett County suburb of Atlanta, with home games at the Infinite Energy Arena. The Steam was the league's 14th team and played its first season in 2013. Prior to the 2020 season, the LFL became the Extreme Football League (X League) and rebranded the Atlanta team as the Atlanta Empire. Although the Steam were announced in 2008 as one of the ten teams for the LFL's inaugural 2009–10 season, but reportedly had issues with finding an venue.
