''Las tres perfectas casadas'' ("The Three Perfect Wives") is a 1953 Mexican comedy film directed by Roberto Gavaldón, based on the eponymous play by Alejandro Casona. It was entered into the 1953 Cannes Film Festival. Synopsis The tranquility of three married couples is interrupted when after the death of Gustavo Ferrán ( Arturo de Córdova), a mutual friend leaves a letter saying that he was the lover of the three women. When he reappears, nothing will ever be the same again. Roberto Gavaldón
Roberto Gavaldón (June 7, 1909 in Jiménez, Chihuahua – September 4, 1986 in Mexico City) was a Mexican film director. Eight of Gavaldón's films were featured on the list 100 Best Movies of the Cinema of Mexico. His 1958 film ''Ash Wednesday'' was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival and his 1959 film ''Beyond All Limits'' was entered into the following years festival. His 1960 film '' Macario'' was entered into the 1960 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. José Elías Moreno (12 November 1910 – 15 July 1969) was a Mexican character actor. He appeared in more than 180 films between 1937 and 1969. He was from the state of Jalisco. His son of the same name, born in 1956, is also a successful actor in television, cinema, and stage. Arturo Soto Rangel (March 12, 1882 – May 25, 1965) was a Mexican film, television, and stage actor. Soto was best known for appearing in over 250 Mexican films. Consuelo Frank Galza (25 April 1912 – 31 March 1991), sometimes credited as Consuelito Frank, was a Mexican actress who played leading roles in the 1930s and 1940s and supporting roles from the early 1950s to the 1980s. René Cardona (October 8, 1905 in Havana, Cuba – April 25, 1988, in Mexico City) was a director, actor, producer, screenwriter, and film editor in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Biography René Cardona was born in Havana, Cuba, on October 8, 1905, and began medical school in Cuba, but due to the political problems of the island, he and his family moved to New York City in 1926, where he continued his studies.
