Las Hermanas is a Feminism, feminist, autonomous Catholic Church, Roman Catholic organization created between 1970 and 1971 for Hispanic women who are involved in the Catholic Church. It was incorporated in Texas in 1972 and was the first group in the Church in the United States to represent Spanish-speaking women. ''Las Hermanas'' has worked for the improvement of the lives of religious Hispanic women and their communities. They are outspoken critics of sexism in the Church and their communities. Las Hermanas (ballet)
''Las Hermanas'' is a one-act ballet created by Kenneth MacMillan in 1963 for the Stuttgart Ballet. The music is Frank Martin (composer), Frank Martin's Harpsichord Concerto (1952). The piece is loosely based on ''The House of Bernarda Alba'' by Federico García Lorca. The first performance was in 1963 at the Staatstheater Stuttgart performed by the Stuttgart Ballet. The principal characters were danced by Marcia Haydee, Ray Barra and Birgit Keil. Directed by Monti Puno Parungao, it stars Yasmien Kurdi, Thea Tolentino and Faith da Silva all in the title roles. It premiered on October 25, 2021 on the network's Afternoon Prime line up replacing ''Nagbabagang Luha''. The series concluded on January 14, 2022 with a total of 60 episodes. It was replaced by ''Prima Donnas'' in its timeslot. The series is streaming online on YouTube. ''Hermanas'' () is a 2005 drama film written and directed by Julia Solomonoff, her first feature motion picture. The picture has a number of producers, including: Mariela Besuievski, Pablo Bossi, Florencia Enghel, Gerardo Herrero, Vanessa Ragone, Walter Salles, and Ariel Saúl.
