Lars Rosenberg (born 2 February 1971) was a bass guitarist in several musical bands: Therion (1994–1996), Entombed (1990–1995), Taura (2000–2002) Serpent, Roachpowder, Carbonized Carbonized were a Sweden, Swedish avant-garde metal band formed 1988 in Saltsjöbaden. The band was formed by Lars Rosenberg in 1988, with Dismember (band), Dismember vocalist Matti Kärki. Joined by drummer Piotr Wawrzeniuk, the trio was compl ..., Mental Distortion, Monastery and Furcas. He is also a vocalist in Carbonized and Monastery. Therion (band)
Therion (formerly Blitzkrieg and Megatherion) is a Swedish symphonic metal band founded by Christofer Johnsson in 1987. Its name was inspired by the Celtic Frost album '' To Mega Therion''. "To Mega Therion" is Greek for "The Great Beast" and was a title used by occultist Aleister Crowley. Originally a death metal band, Therion adjusted its musical style by adding orchestral elements, including choirs, classical musicians, and even a full orchestra at their concert performances. As a result, they are considered pioneers of the symphonic metal genre. Therion takes its themes for the lyrics from different mythologies and practices, including occultism, magic and ancient traditions and writings. Entombed (band)
Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Entombed has been influenced by bands such as Slayer, Exodus, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead, Discharge, Death and Testament. Taura is an Argentinian rock band founded in 2000. Its members are Santiago García Ferro, Gabriel "Chaimon" Raimondo, Leonardo Della Bitta and Alejo García Guraieb. History Beginnings and ''Taura'' EP (2000–2004) Taura was formed in 2000 in Buenos Aires after guitar player Santiago García Ferro called Gabriel "Chaimon" Raimondo -former singer of pioneer hardcore act Vrede – to join him in a new project. In that moment the band was completed with Guillermo Houdin on bass and Alfredo Felitte on drums. When Houdin left the band a few months later, Lars Rosenberg- former bass player of Swedish bands Entombed, Therion and Serpent- joined Taura. After several live performances, in which opening for American rock act Queens of the Stone Age stands out, Rosenberg and Felitte left the band. Carbonized were a Swedish avant-garde metal band formed 1988 in Saltsjöbaden. The band was formed by Lars Rosenberg in 1988, with Dismember vocalist Matti Kärki. Joined by drummer Piotr Wawrzeniuk, the trio was completed by Therion's Christofer Johnsson, who originally agreed to only perform session guitarwork but eventually became a full-time member. The band never officially split up, but stopped being active after recording the Screaming Machines album in 1994 (released 1996). Music Quite different from anything that any of the members would become involved in later, the three albums ran the gamut from psychedelic infused grindcore on ''For The Security'' to discordant jazz-metal weirdness on ''Disharmonization'' to something more avant-garde on ''Screaming Machines'', and described as "the worst of Sonic Youth, Syd Barret era Pink Floyd, old Black Flag, and Voivod" by Christofer Johnsson.
