Lars Martin Myhre
Lars Martin Myhre (born 10 August 1956 in Tønsberg, Norway) (in Norwegian) is a Norwegian composer, guitarist, pianist, singer and producer residing in Sandefjord. He is best known for his collaboration with Odd Børretzen, (in Norwegian) but has for more than 30 years been involved in the musical life of Norway and has released a dozen albums, participated in or produced albums for other artists and composed film music, musicals and theater music. He has visited a variety of music genres such as jazz, show and classical music. (in Norwegian) Career At the start of his career he was an active jazz musician. For one he started ''Slagen Big Band'' in 1977 and was conductor of the band for 10 years. With the ''SBB'', he released the album ''Bak speilet'' with lyrics by Jens Bjørneboe in 1984. Tønsberg
Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Tønsberg. The city is the most populous metropolis in the district of Vestfold with a population of 52,419 in 2019. Palle Mikkelborg
Palle Mikkelborg (born 6 March 1941) is a Danish jazz trumpet player, composer, arranger and record producer. He is self-taught on the trumpet, although he studied conducting at the Royal Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. He became a professional musician in 1960 and joined the Danish Radiojazzgruppen three years later. Mikkelborg became their leader in 1967 and retained that position until 1972. In addition, he was a member of the Radioens Big Band over a similar time frame. He played trumpet in both, but also wrote, arranged, and conducted both. Forming a jazz quintet with drummer, Alex Riel they performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and Newport Jazz Festival (1968). He later led an octet, V8, in the 1970s, and another outfit, Entrance, from the mid-1970s until 1985. His composition were made for various ensembles, including extended pieces for larger outfits. The Gammleng Award ( no, Gammleng-prisen) is a Norwegian culture award created by ''The Fund for Performing Artists'' in 1982, 25 years after the fund was established in 1957. The award's official name is the ''Rolf Gammleng award to performing artists'' (). It's awarded to artists who have in a meritorious way contributed on recordings, stage performances, or concerts. The award is named after Rolf Gammleng, who was leading the ''Norwegian Musicians' Union'' when the fund was created. ''Norsktoppen'' was a musical hit list at NRK Radio, originally playing songs exclusively by Norwegian artists. Until 1986, the songs had to be in the Norwegian language. ''Norsktoppen'' started airing in 1973, once a week. Norsktoppen was canceled on 1 January 2009. ''When the Robbers Came to Cardamom Town'' ( no, Folk og røvere i Kardemomme by) is a 1955 Norwegian children's book written and illustrated by Thorbjørn Egner, which tells the story of Kardemomme by (Cardamom Town). It is considered one of the most important works in Norwegian children's literature. The book includes many songs which are connected to the story. The story has been adapted into a play and television program. The criminologist Nils Christie considered that Egner had contributed significantly to criminology in Norway due in part to this book. Plot summary The book is about the peaceful town of Kardemomme and the people there, as well as the only characters which stir up serious trouble. They are the three robbers, Casper, Jasper and Jonathan who live outside the town and regularly enter to steal the things they need. The robbers get arrested and are treated well in jail. Louis Jacoby (singer)
Louis Arnold Jacoby (born September 6, 1942) is a Norwegian singer and writer from Larvik. Jacoby grew up in Larvik's Torstrand district but has lived in Ula for many years. He is the son of the writer Arnold Jacoby (1913–2002). Jacoby has won the Prøysen Award and the Herman Wildenvey Poetry Award, and he was named " Beer Dog of the Year" ( no, Årets Ølhund) by the Norwegian Brewery Association in 1990. His best-known song "Hverdag" (Everyday) has been named one of Norway's national songs. Jacoby won the summer song competition held by the '' Nitimen'' program in 1995 (together with Lars Martin Myhre) for the song "En sommer er aldri over" (A Summer Is Never Over). Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Ingvar Hovland
Yngvar Harra (or Ingvar; Proto-Norse ''*Ingu-Hariz''; non, Yngvarr ; d. early 7th century) was the son of Östen and reclaimed the Swedish throne for the House of Yngling after the Swedes had rebelled against Sölvi. Kvitretten (1991-2001 in Trondheim, Norway) was a Norwegian vocal group, known for improvisation and a cappella music releases, concerts, television shows, and international tours. Biography Kvitretten was initially comprising arranger and composer Eldbjørg Raknes, Kjersti Stubø (91-97), Tone Åse, Anna Sundström (91-94) and Hans Jørgen Støp (91-95). They were to be found at the festival «Nordlyd» 1993 with the commissioned work ''Ro u ro'' by Elin Rosseland, composer supported by Rikskonsertene. After some replacements, Raknes, Stubø, Åse and Kristin Asbjørnsen released the debut albumet ''Voices'' (1996) with lyrics by Raknes and Sidsel Endresen. Jonathan Guy Lewis (born 20 May 1963) is a British actor known for his role as Chris Hammond in ''London's Burning (TV series), London's Burning''.
