Lars Christian Dahll (5 November 1823 – 29 November 1908) was a Norwegian military officer and politician. He chaired Centralforeningen for Udbredelse af Legemsøvelser og Vaabenbrug from 1878 to 1881. Christian Homann Schweigaard
Christian Homann Schweigaard (14 October 1838 – 24 March 1899) was a Norwegian politician of the Conservative Party. He served as the 3rd prime minister for two months in 1884, a period after the impeachment of his predecessor Christian August Selmer called Schweigaard's Ministerium. Schweigaard held a number of key positions, including Chairman of the Conservative Party from 1889–1891 and 1893–1896, as well as Parliamentary Leader from 1889–1891 and 1894–1895. He was Emil Stang's indispensable partner, leading the Conservative Party's policy and organizational development in the 1880s and 1890s. Background Schweigaard was born in Christiania (now Oslo, Norway). He was the son of Anton Martin Schweigaard and Caroline Magnine Homan. He took his final exams in 1855 and then studied law. Lars Broch
Lars Marius Bing Broch (1 April 1826 – 1 July 1882) was a Norwegian topographer, military officer and sports official. Broch was born in Fredrikstad to Lars Ziegler Broch and Susanne Marie Bing, and married Justine Bing in 1853. He graduated as military officer in 1845. His assignments included being head of the 1st Akershus Infantry Brigade and commander of Fredriksten. From 1863 he was appointed topographer for Den geografiske opmaaling. He chaired the Norwegian Trekking Association, Kristiania Militære Samfund and the sports association Centralforeningen for utbredelse af idræt. His works include textbooks in geography for primary school, and ''Lærebog i landmaaling'' from 1861. Broch was decorated Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1870, was a Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog, and a Knight of the Order of the Sword. Edvard Eriksen (sports Official)
Edvard Eriksen (10 March 1876 – 12 January 1959) was a Danish–Icelandic sculptor. Biography He apprenticed as a wood carver, after which he trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts between 1894 and 1899. Eriksen's most famous work is the bronze statue of ''The Little Mermaid'' (''Det Lille Havfrue''). In 1909, Jacob Christian Jacobsen, founder of Carlsberg brewery, commissioned the work of art as a gift to the City of Copenhagen. It was set up on 23 August 1913 by the shore of the promenade Langelinie in the harbor of the old port district of Nyhavn. Two different women served as models to create the statue. Eriksen used his wife, Eline Eriksen, as the model for the statue's body and actress Ellen Price as the model for the mermaid's head. Anders Sandøe Ørsted Bull (13 September 1817 – 15 April 1907) was a Norwegian civil servant and government minister. He served as acting Minister of the Army in 1875 (twice), 1881 and 1884. Ludvig Daae (24 April 1829 – 1 May 1893) was a Norwegian jurist, landowner and politician for the Liberal Party. He was the Norwegian Minister of the Army from 1884 to 1885 on the cabinet of Prime Minister Johan Sverdrup. Background Daae was born on the Solnør farm at Skodje in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was a son of captain Ludvig Daae (1792–1879) and Barbara Henrikke Wind (1800–1860), and grandson of the priest Johan Christopher Haar Daae.
