Lars Borgersrud
Lars Borgersrud (born 11 March 1949) is a Norwegian military historian and government scholar. His work has largely centered on World War II in Norway. Borgersrud formed close relations with leading figures of the Norwegian Maoist movement beginning in the late 1960s. Career Borgersrud's master's thesis from 1975 disclosed sensitive information regarding military personnel and organization prior to World War II and their possible effects on military preparedness prior to the invasion of Norway by Nazi Germany. As a student he was threatened with being prosecuted if he published his thesis. Nevertheless, Borgersrud eventually published three books with material from his work under the pseudonym "Ottar Strømme": ''Stille mobilisering'', ''Unngå å irritere fienden'' and ''Den hemmelige hæren''. Government Scholar
Government scholar (Norwegian, ''statsstipendiat'') is a position awarded by the Parliament of Norway upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Research and funded directly over the State budget of Norway. The position can be "for life" (until the normal age of retirement, 67 years) or for a limited period of time, although modern appointments usually are "for life." The scholarships are awarded to a select number of persons whose work is deemed important for the society, and who may engage in research, culture or other societal areas. As of 2011, there were 30 government scholars in Norway; 23 men and 7 women. All appointees were included in the '' Norwegian State Calendar'' until it ceased publication in 2012. Workers' Communist Party (Norway)
The Workers' Communist Party ( no, Arbeidernes Kommunistparti, AKP) was a Norwegian communist party (1973–2007). AKP was a Maoist party and one of two communist parties in Norway; the other was the older Communist Party of Norway which had remained pro-Soviet. The relationship between the two parties was characterized by strong hostility. AKP was founded in 1973, as ''Arbeidernes Kommunistparti (marxist-leninistene)''. It did not participate directly in elections, but members had "activity duty", meaning that they were to work for the party's goals – passive members were not accepted. The precise number of its members is unknown. On 22 February 2006, the party opened some of its archives to the public, in a move the party argued was to hit out at all the rumours surrounding the party. ''Elling'' is a Norwegian Black comedy film directed by Petter Næss.
