Laurence Bond "Larry" Miller is an American rock and Avant grade guitarist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. Miller is a former member of Destroy All Monsters (band), Destroy All Monsters, Sproton Layer, M3 (rock band), M3, Nonfiction, The Empty Set, and Larynx Zillion's Novelty Shop. Biography Destroy All Monsters (band), Destroy All Monsters was a notable part of the proto-punk, Punk rock, punk, and post-punk Detroit rock scene, featuring such bands as the MC5, the Stooges, and Up. In the late 1980s, he enjoyed renewed commercial success with his single Southpaws Unite!, a John Philip Sousa military-esque march crossed with an Avant grade punk sensibility via the latest Techno Pop technology of the day. Power Trio
A power trio is a rock and roll band format having a lineup of electric guitar, bass guitar and drum kit (drums and cymbals), leaving out a second rhythm guitar or keyboard instrument that are often used in other rock music bands that are quartets and quintets. Larger rock bands often use one or more additional rhythm sections to fill out the sound with chords and harmony parts. Ben Miller is an American rock and avant garde guitarist born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and now based in the NYC-metro area. He has formerly been a member of such Detroit/Ann Arbor bands as Sproton Layer, Destroy All Monsters, and non-fiction. Mission Of Burma
Mission of Burma was an American post-punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. The group formed in 1979 with Roger Miller on guitar, Clint Conley on bass, Peter Prescott on drums, and Martin Swope contributing audiotape manipulation and acting as the band’s sound engineer. In this initial lineup, Miller, Conley, and Prescott all shared singing and songwriting duties. In their early years the band's recordings were all released on the small Boston-based record label Ace of Hearts.
