Larry Harris (basketball)
Larry D. Harris (born 1963) served as the General Manager of the Milwaukee Bucks from 2003 until March 19, 2008. He currently serves as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel for the Golden State Warriors. Personal life Harris's father is former National Basketball Association (NBA) coach Del Harris. Larry Harris graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1985 with a degree in mathematics and was a four-year starter on the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds men's basketball team. As a senior, Harris was team captain. Harris and his wife, Gail, have five children between them: Zachary, Garrett, Janaya, Brooke, and Addison. Larry R. Harris is an American researcher and businessperson. He is best known for his work in artificial intelligence, and is founder of the companies AICorp and EasyAsk, originally known as Linguistic Technology Corporation. Early life and career Harris was born in 1947. He received his PhD from Cornell University in 1970, where his dissertation was entitled ''A Model for Adaptive Problem Solving Applied to Natural Language Acquisition''. It focused on the process of how a robot might learn a language's vocabulary and grammar from exploring a room receiving commentary from a human. He then became an assistant professor, and later an associate professor, of Mathematics at Dartmouth College, and developed the first computer educational programs at the university. Larry Harris Jr. is a game designer. Family Harris is the son of Lawrence (Larry) Harris Sr., who was a U.S. infantryman in the Pacific Theater, participating in assaults in the Solomon Islands, New Guinea and the Philippines. He is married to Katherine Harris, has four children, and three step-children. Career Larry Harris is most famous for creating the board game ''Axis & Allies'', as well as all of its sequels. Larry Alan Harris (May 31, 1947 – December 18, 2017) was Executive Vice President and co-founder of Casablanca Records, with his cousin, Neil Bogart, Cecil Holmes, and Buck Reingold. Biography Born in Brooklyn, Harris, began working for Neil Bogart, who was his second cousin, at Buddah/Kama Sutra Records in the summer of 1971 as their local New York promotions man. By 1973, Bogart was feeling creatively stifled at Buddah Records, so he secured financing and distribution through Warner Bros. Records and started his own label, Casablanca Records, basing it in Los Angeles later that year. Bogart thought Harris had a good ear for rock music and offered him a stake in the company if he was willing to move to California. He followed Bogart, and along with Cecil Holmes, and Buck Reingold started the new label in August 1973.
