Larry Donohue
Larry Donohue (born 22 April 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club from 1973 to 1980, playing 105 games kicking 339 goals. He was recruited from the Thomson Football Club. He won the Coleman Medal in 1976 after kicking 99 goals. Donohue kicked 95 goals in 1978 and headed the Cats goalkicking from 1975 to 1978. Donohue moved to Fitzroy but never played senior football with the Lions retiring because of injuries. Donohue later coached locally in Geelong at Thomson and Newcomb guiding the Dinosaurs to the 1988 Bellarine Football League premiership. His son, Adam, was taken as a father/son selection in the 2007 AFL Draft. He did not play a senior game. Victoria Australian Rules Football Team
The Victoria Australian rules football team, known colloquially as the Big V, is the state representative side of Victoria, Australia, in the sport of Australian rules football. The Big V has a proud history, dominating the first 100 years of intercolonial-interstate football, and being the most successful state in State of Origin. After the change to State of Origin rules, the results with the other main Australian football states became more even. Victoria has a long and intense rivalry with South Australia and Western Australia. The Victorian and South Australian rivalry was characterised by the catchcry in South Australia called "Kick a Vic", and fans would bring signs of the cry to the games. The season featured twelve clubs, ran from 3 April until 25 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top five clubs. Coleman Medal
The Coleman Medal is an Australian rules football award given annually to the Australian Football League (AFL) player who kicks the most goals in the home-and-away season. It is named after Essendon full-forward John Coleman, one of the most prolific goalkickers in the league's history.
