Larry Dean (comedian)
Larry Dean (born 13 December 1989) is a Scottish stand-up comedian. His comedy routines have earned him several awards including Scottish Comedian of the Year. Early life Dean grew up in the South Side of Glasgow. He started his stand-up career in 2010 whilst he was a student at the University of Southampton. He was raised in a Catholic family. Career His show ''Out Now'' told the story of coming out to a strict Catholic family. ''Farcissist'' (2016) was about his life after coming out, his long-term relationship, and re-adjusting to the dating scene. His ''Fandan'' (2017), loosely wrapped around the central story of sitting in a café with two murderers, was among the 10 best-reviewed Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows in 2017. Christopher Graham Collins (born 28 January 1957), professionally known as Frank Skinner, is an English comedian, actor, presenter and writer. At the 2001 British Comedy Awards, he was named Best Comedy Entertainment Personality. ''Mock the Week'' is a British topical satirical celebrity panel show, created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson. It was produced by Angst Productions for BBC Two, and was broadcast from 5 June 2005 to 4 November 2022. Sofie Hagen is a London-based Danish comedian, author, podcaster, fashion designer, and fat acceptance campaigner. She has toured with comedy shows, released a book and hosted and co-hosted a number of podcasts. Biography Sofie Hagen was born in Denmark, on 10 November 1988. Gary Delaney (born 16 April 1973) is an English writer and stand-up comedian. His style of humour is one-liners involving puns. He is known for delivering them in a slightly deadpan manner. Early life Gary Delaney received a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, owing to his childhood desire to be a bond trader. Career Before his comedy career, Delaney fixed photocopiers, worked at banks, and did custodian work at garages. He writes for Birmingham-based FM radio station Kerrang! 105.2 and also appeared in the horror-comedy film ''Trash House''. A lot of his material was allegedly plagiarised on the humour website Sickipedia. ''Live at the Apollo'' (formerly titled ''Jack Dee Live at the Apollo'') is a British stand-up comedy programme performed from the Apollo Theatre, West London. Despite the title, the programmes are recorded, not live. Jack Dee hosted the first two series and the opening show of the third series, performing a short segment before introducing a guest comedian. Until 2015, all episodes were broadcast on BBC One. The show moved to BBC Two in November 2015. The programme was renamed for its third series which was filmed over three evenings in October 2007.
