Larry Coleman was a 20th-century American popular composer and lyricist. Coleman was mainly active during the 1950s and 1960s. He wrote hit songs both alone and in collaboration with other lyricists, including Fred Ebb, Joe Darion, Norman Gimbel, and Paul Klein. Joan Regan
Joan Regan (born Joan Bethel or Siobhan Bethel; 19 January 1928 – 12 September 2013) was an English traditional pop music singer, popular during the 1950s and early 1960s. Biography Regan was born in either Romford, Essex, or West Ham, London, (sources disagree) the youngest of six children to Irish parents. She had rheumatic fever as a child which left her with a damaged mitral valve, although this did not cause problems until she was in her seventies. Regan married an American serviceman, Dick Howell, a friend of her brothers who met in the Navy. She and Howell married on her 18th birthday in 1946. For a time they lived in Burbank, California. George Cates (October 19, 1911 – May 10, 2002) was an American music arranger, conductor, songwriter and record executive known for his work with Lawrence Welk and his orchestra. Biography Born and raised in New York City, New York, United States, Cates began his music career shortly after his graduating from New York University, where he found work with the vaudeville team of Olsen and Johnson on their revue, '' Hellzapoppin''. Ernest Earl "Jimmy" Walker (December 18, 1915 – June 27, 1990) was an American country musician. Jimmy Walker recorded the first version of the country standard "Detour" in 1945, and to date he is the only man who ever replaced Roy Acuff on the Grand Ole Opry. He also recorded numerous other western swing-honky tonk numbers, appeared as a regular on Midwestern Hayride, WWVA Jamboree and Louisiana Hayride, and appeared in several motion pictures.
