Larissa Saveliev
Larissa Saveliev (Russian: Лари́са Саве́льева) is a former Bolshoi Ballet dancer and the Founder and Artistic Director of YAGP, – the world's largest student ballet scholarship competition. She is also a producer of various performing arts events in the U.S. and around the world. Early career Larissa Saveliev was born in Moscow on March 29, 1969 in the family of college professors. She was trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and, upon graduating, joined the Stanislavsky Ballet. Several years later, she joined the Bolshoi Ballet, under the artistic direction of Yuri Grigorovich. Saveliev emigrated to the United States in 1994. She went on to perform with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, and Tulsa Ballet. At the same time, she discovered a passion for teaching. Youth America Grand Prix
Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the world's largest non-profit international student ballet competition and scholarship program, open to dance students of all nationalities, 9–19 years old. YAGP annually conducts regional auditions in the United States and around the world, with the Final Round of the competition held in New York City every April. Denis Matsuev
Denis Leonidovich Matsuev ( rus, Дени́с Леони́дович Мацу́ев /ma'tsujef/; born June 11, 1975) is a Russian classical pianist and occasional jazz performer. Biography Born in Irkutsk, Soviet Union, Matsuev is the only child of two musicians, as his mother is a piano teacher and his father is a pianist and composer. He demonstrated a musical ear at age 3, when he reproduced on the piano at home a melody that he heard on television. His father subsequently became his first piano teacher. Until age 15, Matsuev studied music in Irkutsk. In 1990, he won a prize at the "New Names Charitable Foundation" competition in Irkutsk and received a stipend, $1,000 a month, from the foundation to study music in Moscow. With other young gifted musicians from Russia discovered by the foundation, Matsuev went on tour in Europe and the United States. Nigel Lythgoe OBE (; born 9 July 1949), also known as Nasty Nigel, is an English television and film director and producer, television dance competition judge, former dancer in the Young Generation and choreographer. He was the producer of the shows ''Pop Idol'' and ''American Idol'' and is the creator and executive producer of ''So You Think You Can Dance'', on which he served as a permanent judge for the first sixteen seasons.
