Largo High School is a public high school in Largo, Florida, United States. The school's athletic teams are known as the Packers, and the school colors are blue and gold. Its current principal is Jennifer Staten. The school was recently rebuilt and finished reconstruction in 2016. The school has two magnet programs, ExCEL and an IB Diploma Programme. Largo, Florida
Largo is the third largest city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States, as well as the fourth largest in the Tampa Bay area. As of the 2020 Census, the city had a population of 82,500, up from 69,371 in 2000. Largo was first incorporated in 1905. In 1913, it became the first municipality in Pinellas County to adopt a council-manager government. It switched back and forth from "town" to "city" a few times, and became a city again in 1974. It was an exporter of agricultural products until the 1960s population growth began to transform it into a bedroom community. From 1905 to 2010, Largo grew in area from to about , and in population from about 300 people to more than 70,000. Michael Whiting
Michael L. Whiting (born January 11, 1960) is a former American football fullback in the United States Football League (USFL) for the Jacksonville Bulls. He played college football at Florida State University. Early years Whiting attended Largo High School, where he was an all-around fullback. He accepted a football scholarship from Florida State University. He was a two-year starter at fullback. As a junior, he posted 133 carries for 500 yards, 6 rushing touchdowns and 25 receptions for 203 yards. Marcus Paschal (born August 31, 1984) is a former American football safety. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Iowa. Paschal was also a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. Dexter Marquise McCluster (born August 25, 1988) is a former American football running back. He played college football for the University of Mississippi. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft and also spent time with the Tennessee Titans and San Diego Chargers.
