Laredo Law
The Laredo Law was a 2004 af2 expansion team, the minor league for the Arena Football League. They played their home games at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas. They only played for one season (for a 3-13 record) before ceasing all operations at the end of the season. The team's head coach was Scott Maynard, son of Don Maynard, who starred for the New York Jets as wide receiver and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Laredo Entertainment Center
The Sames Auto Arena (formerly known as the Laredo Entertainment Center and Laredo Energy Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Laredo, Texas. It is located next to Bob Bullock Loop (US 59/Loop 20), on the northeastern side of Laredo. Within the Sames Auto Arena complex, there are several hotels within a walking distance. The Laredo International Airport is also nearby. Don Maynard
Donald Rogers Maynard (January 25, 1935 – January 10, 2022) was an American professional American football, football wide receiver known for playing for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). He also played with the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Cardinals; and the Shreveport Steamer of the World Football League (WFL). Maynard was a four-time American Football League All-Star games, AFL All-Star and played for the Super Bowl III champions. The Jets retired number, retired Maynard's No. 13 in his honor. Intense Football League
The Intense Football League (IFL) was a professional indoor football minor league that began operations in 2004. Its focus was in Texas, but it was notable for being the first professional football league to place a franchise in Alaska. History During its first season, the El Paso Rumble folded and the league oversaw operations of the team until the end of the season. In 2005, the Amarillo Dusters left for the AF2, while the other teams joined the National Indoor Football League and the league suspended operations. In 2006, the Intense Football League restarted. Three of the original teams (Odessa, San Angelo and Corpus Christi) returned to the IFL, joined by new teams from Belton, Lake Charles, and Laredo.
