Lara Fabian (1991 Album)
Lara Fabian's eponymous French debut album is the only album Lara has ever recorded that is very upbeat (other upbeat songs are found in Lara Fabian's two English Albums from 2000 and 2004). It is also notable because it is her only album that is dominated by dance-pop type songs instead of ballads. The album became a modest hit, selling over 100,000 copies. Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert (born January 9, 1970), better known as Lara Fabian, is a Belgian-Canadian pop singer and songwriter. Michel Hatzigeorgiou (born 1961) is a Belgian bass guitarist. He was born in Belgium from Greek parents. He started playing bouzouki at the age of 9, then switched to electric guitar at 11 and finally to electric bass at 14. He could have or should have played with Scorpions after a quick trip to Hamburg for an audition, but his father told him to "Get your "Bac" first. He joined his first band, the Blackbirds, as lead guitarist, when he was a student at Charleroi Technical University. In 1982, he attended the jazz seminar in Liège. "Croire" (; "To Trust") is a song performed in French by Belgian singer Lara Fabian, written by Alain Garcia and composed by Jacques Cardona. The song is 's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1988, and became a hit in Europe selling nearly 500,000 copies.
