Lao Zihao
China Time-honored Brand (Chinese: ''Zhonghua lao zihao'' 中华老字号 or simply ''lao zihao'' 老字号) is a title granted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China to Chinese enterprises that existed before 1956, sell products, techniques or services passed down through generations, have distinct Chinese cultural characteristics and are widely recognized by society. This title was first granted soon after the foundation of the PRC in 1949. The current eligibility criteria were set in 2006, when the Ministry of Commerce revised them for the last time. There are currently around 1,000 brands granted this title, among which are Tongrentang (traditional Chinese medicine), Quanjude (Peking Duck) and Go Believe (baozi or steamed dumpling). Many of the shops have a history of over 400 years, and in modern times have begun to expand via mass commercialization of their products. Bianyifang
Bianyifang (Chinese: 便宜坊; pinyin: Biànyífānɡ) is a restaurant in Beijing, China. Famous for its specialty called peking duck, Bianyifang was founded more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. Today it has expanded to include several branches and is one of the 10 restaurant brands in China. It is one of the most popular restaurants in China and has been reported upon by a range of media outlets. The service philosophy of this restaurant is "Convenient and Comfortable." Established in 1416, the 14th year of the Ming Yongle Emperor, the original Bianyifang used to be a small workshop, which produced duck and chicken food in Mishihutong (米市胡同), Caishikou, Beijing. ''Cheongsam'' (, ), also known as the ''qipao'' () and sometimes referred to as the mandarin gown, is a Chinese dress worn by women which takes inspiration from the , the ethnic clothing of the Manchu people. Rongbaozhai
Rong Bao Zhai (, Studio of Glorious Treasures) is an old stationery, calligraphy and painting shop in Beijing, China. It is located in Liulichang outside the Hepingmen Gate. History Rong Bao Zhai was founded in 1672 (11th year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing dynasty) as the Song Zhu Zhai (松竹斋; Pine and Bamboo Studio), and adopted its current name in 1894. Liubiju
Liubiju is the oldest Beijing's sauce garden, the first written record is from 1530, in Chinese eras it is Ming Dynasty Jiajing Emperor's ninth year. A regular business started in Kangxi Emperor years of the Qing Dynasty, 1661-1722. Liubuju is well known for its sauce ( yellow soybean paste and sweet soy sauce) and pickles.
